I was going to stay here for several days but opted to leave after just one day. My room looked like something from a 1 star horror hotel. Shabby and dated. The hotel service staff has one of the worst attitudes I have ever encountered in all my years of travel. Not just not friendly but borderline hostel and generally... More

Stayed mid December 2013. Excellent hotel and first class hotel services. Centrally located in the old city, therefore rather noisy at night (loud merry-makers late into the night). Our room faced the road. Extremely convenient - so many eateries within walking distance. Heating system in winter is too hot for comfort, so we leave one window opened. Wifi rather reliable... More

After 3 days of no air conditioning I was offered a free drink. Hotel getting old and not accomodating after I asked for a discount I was told no AC because it is getting cold outside. Not a fair way to be treated

This is a well priced and well located hotel in old Suzhou. It is around the corner from some really interesting old streets, full of restaurants and little stores. It's an older Hotel-but still in good shape for its age and has a good standard of cleanliness and bedding is actually great. The staff were helpful without being overly friendly-but a... More

In the central area of the old city, this hotel is all class. The most comfy bed for 3 weeks, and top quality throughout. Staff were friendly, food was great, and the room was quiet. Blockout curtains worked a treat, woke at 7.30am.

For a $120 US room in one of the most popular tourist cities in China, it doesn't get any better. Location is wonderful, right next to 3 attractions ( Suzhou Museum, Lingering garden (not recommended) and the Taoist temple of Guan Qian). Superb eating options all around the hotel as well. Please do not buy the meal packages, those are... More

Highly recommended, very nice, elegant and clean hotel in a walking distance to the old city of Suzhou. I bought a package included breakfast and dinner buffet and both was excellent, the best food I ever got in China (been here many times before). The hotel is surrounded by shops, coffee shops and restaurants so you'll find everything nearby, also... More

This modern, luxury hotel is in an excellent location for walking to the lively shopping area. We were able to park outside right in front of the entrance. Check-in was easy and the service staff were very professional. The room was large and well-appointed, and the large bath had a separate tub and shower. There was some wear and tear... More

A nice hotel in the city centre of Suzhou. Location is good. The room was clean and also the bed was of western standard. However, every morning from 6:00 am, the music on all loudspeakers started with loud piano music which wake me up way before planned wake up time. The hotel did not understand the problem, so I suggested... More

Very good hotel, used to be Soffitel. Still meets western standards in all respects. We were upgraded to a superior room and that was really cool. Very good service, managed to get train tickets as the ticket office at the station had already stopped selling them.
