It was our 3rd stay at 南林飯店. The hotel is facing 十全街 with many small shops and eateries, and walking distance to beautiful 滄浪亭 Canglangting and 網師園 Wangshiyuan. Convenience store 全力 is in 3 min walk distance. The hotel has a pretty Chinese gardens. A small path along a small canal between the hotel and 十全街 is very nice to... More

I usually stay at the Nanlin Hotel, when I was coming to Suzhou for business trips. There are two buildings & best to choose the slightly more expensive one. As it has a better outlook and the rooms are new. the older one is used more for Chinese tour groups. Sure it's not the Hilton etc. but a good quality... More

It was a overnight stay in Nan Lin hotel for me. Overall, nice hotel with a lovely garden and outside the hotel, 2 streets lined with shops, restaurants so rather convenient though the nearest mini-mart is about 10 mins walk away. Within room, it was furnished with a chinese touch but room light a little dim. The breakfast in the... More

I would recommend this place for couples travelling in Su-Zhou. The hotel is located in the central area of the Old Suzhou- surrounded by century-old gardens. The Shi Quan Street is super close for shopping n local dining. I am not totally happy with the room setting with its ensuit bathroom, rather small. While it might make more sense since... More

We stayed here on a small business trip for 4 nights. The location of the hotel was absolutely fantastic; situated in the heart of the main old town town city of Suzhou where things are more than cheap and plenty of true, euthentic and delicious resturants. Staff have a hard time understanding English but will really try and do there... More

Well located hotel, in a shopping street full of bars and restaurants. Elegant lobby and friendly staff but, unfortunately, our room was equipated with a strange bathroom, that provided no intimacy because the shower was not protected from the room, so you could see everything that was happening inside from the bed. Maybe some curtain or a translucent bath screen... More

I stayed here for business trip for two nights, always a problem in China getting a non smoking room even when you book one. However this hotel had a whole floor for non smokers. Strange thing is its called the Ladies floor and has ashtrays and matches in the room , go figure. The rooms are tired and dark however... More

this property was extremely hard to get around. the amenities (night club, pool, and fitness facility) were separated from our building. breakfast was amazing, but that was about it. the rooms are extremely dated and need a major face-lift.

Hot and humid in Suzhou during this time. Great location and close to everything. The town is really wonderful with very nice people. The room was fine for what we needed. Do not open your windows for mosquitoes are pretty healthy at this time. Outside area is lovely but, wear your repellant at night. I would stay here again. Bottled... More
