This was one of the most pleasant hotels I have ever seen. It was like an oriental resort back in time with traditional styled buildings and beautiful parks on site. Restaurant was excellent, rooms clean and airy, great service from helpful staff. A highlight of our tour.

This is a lovely hotel with great gardens and pool. It is an old style building with a pagoda entrance .The room was very nice with good wi fi but not much choice of international channels on the TV. Although the hotel was very nice, the location was a bit out of the way. There wasn't much around and you... More

It was like back in history, the Chinese traditional setting is really made this hotel unique and refreshing. It was designed and built that way by then Sheraton, not old place made new. Check in at level 3, quick and efficient, the conceige is very friendly and helpful. The Italian restaurant is great, foods and services. But the ground floor... More

Right from the pagoda entrance, the hotel had all the writings of high class Chinese traditions and architecture. Check in was fast and smooth and staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Pros: Good size rooms High speed WiFi Aromatic toiletries Romantic lighting in rooms Scenic grounds Large breakfast spread Cons: The hotel layout with so many different wings... More

We LOVE this hotel. Don't stay anywhere else in Suzhou. Go ahead, do yourself a favor, and book the Club rooms. Included you receive an incredible breakfast with less people, lounge access, afternoon tea, evening drinks and small plates, a nicer room, and even a special area to check in. This area is to the left of the hotel if... More

Stayed 2 nights with a tour group in early June and was initially stunned by the seemingly inefficient and confusing design of this place (as mentioned many times in other reviews) but soon developed an appreciation for its idiosyncrasies and history. The staff were very helpful and the manager has a great and sharp sense of humour. The Purchasing Manager... More

If I could ever buy a house - that would be the one , staying in this hotel feels like beeing a princess 200 years ago - the modern business type hotels have no chance to compeed with the classical charms this place has, I wish I could live in that hotel every day, even though the facility is a... Pan Pacific Suzhou is the only choice when I have a plan to Suzhou. The stunning hotel architecture itself is the best one in Suzhou. The only one can compete to it is the museum of Suzhou which was designed by I.M.Pei in 2001. As one of the most ancient cities with gorgeous aesthetical buildings & gardens in China, Suzhou... We always find this hotel to be the most appealing for our short Suzhou runs from Shanghai. We usually splurge for the club access which offers a nice selection of wine and snacks. The rooms with the mini gardens are perfect. Yes the place does have a smokey smell, but so does all of China! Overall, very nice grounds and... More

The smell of the room hits you as you open the door - it was disgusting. Smelt like 20 years of stale cigarette smoke in the room and the carpets were also very stained. I moved a small round table and the underneath was tacky with heaven knows what on it!! Nothing in the room seemed to be cleaned properly.... More
