A good hotel in a beautiful setting. The quality of languages spoken is reasonable but the hotel would definitely benefit from a refresh. very helpful with good facilities available but not control of TVs sound quality or Air con level was disappointing

Although the architecture is interesting and the attached garden nice to visit, the place suffers from deferred maintenance (loose wall paper on room corridor, odd carpet at gym entrance, smell locker room, only 1 of 3 sauna room continually operated, steam room is cold and smells weird), air conditioning in room and public area is capped at low temperature (it's... We loved the traditional Chinese style of this hotel. Stayed in the new wing. It is low season so the hotel is not crowded. It has the beautiful Pan Men Garden adjoining it and hotel guests have free entry to it. We visited early in the morning - giving us a quiet respite from the buzz you get at other... More

Of the hotels we visited during our Nexus tour of China, this hotel was the most disappointing. The room was shabby, the tub was rust stained, and the carpet certainly needed a deep cleaning. The only positive comment to be offered was for the breakfast buffet...certainly one of the best during this two, week tour.

The hotel building alone is beautiful and filled with artefacts! Although a little confusing initially to get around the hotel with the lobby on the 3rd floor and two separate buildings that need negotiating via lifts and crossing between floors, it's worth it! Allow time to explore the beautiful gardens around the hotel! Not to be missed! The rooms are... More

The hotel is well placed in Suzhou, a city famous for its Canal and Soft Shell Crab delicacy. The staff were very friendly with English understood largely. The rooms were comfortable enough as we spent most of our time out in the city. The buffet breakfasts were fine too.

Very nice hotel with outside old chines style look. Inside luxury with large room and bathroom. Inside is like a labyrinth, not easy to find ways to the room. Very good equipped room and bathroom. Hotel and rooms are very clean. Free W-Lan in the hotel.

Sept.27 evening with a tour group - probably among the worst we’ve ever been in – not only in China! - There was no elevator service to the 2nd floor (our initial room)! In order to get there one had to get first to the 3rd floor, then down to the 2nd! For some mysterious reason the reception desk was... More

The Pan Pacific has a very attractive pagoda style foyer area. The whole place is a confusing mess to get around. Going from the room to the breakfast bar or back to hotel lobby area is a long roundabout route. The rooms themselves are very nice, the bed comfortable and the breakfast bar was great. Its located close to the... More

Attractive building style, lovely gardens which are well worth a walk through. But hotel is a nightmare to negotiate - different wings not connected to each other and a trip to lobby (on 3rd floor),restuarant or entrance entailed walking very far and having to up and down different elevators. Rooms spacious. Problem with shower and TV attended to very quickly... More
