The Hotel One Suzhou is a beautifully designed, modern hotel on the outskirts of Suzhou. The reservation department was wonderful, led by Ms, Brenda Kou, who phoned me several times from China to make sure my reservation was in order. I've stayed in over 20 hotels throughout China but this one has to be the coolest of all... the people running the w chain should check out how it is done! We had the spa / sauna room. This hotel has the most modern room decorations I have ever seen. Beautiful bathroom fixtures, glass walled bathroom, claw foot tub, large LCD TV, safe, robe, even a combination printer / scanner. Very reasonable price for the quality of the place. Hotel One is part of the Landis Group based in Taiwan. This Hotel has surprised me right from we when left the Taxi. The bellboy was jumping towards the Taxi greeting us with a very warm "Good evening", which is definitely not the usual in a Hotel within this price range in a smaller Chinese Town (Suzhou has "only" around... more
