Made a last minute reservation from the USA. The hotel didn't have the reservation so check in took some time. Eventually figured it out. Usually, the check in process if fast and smooth. Room is nice with some typical (for China) burned carpet from cigarettes. Bed is firm but not as firm as many places. Finally, there is wi-fi in... More

The hotel is a better choise compared to standard chinese hotels, but does not catch up to other Best Western Hotels in Europe or America. The area is full of construction sides that makes any room in the hotel noisy. As everywhere in China it is a good idea to bargain with the receptionist about the price. Wifi is pretty... More

This is a nice hotel but in desperate need of refurbishment. The room was very big and well equipped with everything you expect. The bed was firm but comfortable and the bathroom was good. The main drawback is that everything is clearly old. The lamp shade was stained and moldy and the floor was very uneven. It seemed as though... More

Carpet was dirty & filthy with stains all over the room. I have attached some of the pictures that I took to confirm the issue. Some part of the floor was uneven - trip hazard. Molds could be found in the sink and shower area. I stayed at a few Best Western in Canada / USA before and they were... More

Room 1706, facing west. Excellent room, like good quality Best Western in Canada/USA. Very comfortable bed, big and clean bathroom with tub, lots of hot water. The view to the west through floor-to-ceiling windows was so delightful and restful. In summary, an excellent room, about which we found none of the problems mentioned by other reviewers. Room was quiet, even... More

Our first stay in this hotel. Not bad at all. But it needs renovation so badly! Especially the outsude of the hotel, furniture...Service is quite good though. Breakfast is quite OK for both Chinese and Western travellers. You can immediatelly smell the difference between Chinese hotels and Western when you enter the lobby. It smells really good there. The room... More

First room shown worn out and refrigerator not working. Could not get climate control working. Italian restaurant closed, gift shop closed, entire neighborhood under construction. Dining room not up to expectations. BUT, staff was fantastic. Upgraded us to a better room, gave us a bed for our toddler at no extra charge, and were always helpful and gracious.

This is my second stay at this hotel, I choose this one as it's the closest to where friends live. Both times I've paid for an executive room but on this visit the executive lounge was not open for breakfasts but didn't matter as the main restaurant was probably better - good choice of food. Compared to hotels in Hankou... More
