I stayed at the hotel because of its close proximity to China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was good. I ate the breakfast buffet and lunch daily throughout my stay. The room was quite spacious and comfortable with excellent wifi service. I will definitely stay on a future visit to Wuhan.

I was quite surprised when I checked in to the hotel. It was quite far away from the airport, But we well located near all the business activities. Nice and supportive staff with eagerness to help. Room was filled with everything. I wish I could stay more but for the short stay, this hotel made sure that I come back... More

We needed a place to stay in Wuhan close to a couple of Universities and this place delivered. If you didn't want to eat in the hotel, there wasn't much in the way of choices close to the hotel, but about 15 minutes walk away are a couple of shopping malls with food courts and other things on offer. One... More

We stayed for one night at this hotel unexpectedly when our Victoria Cruise boat was damaged and we could not board it. This was a fantastic hotel; huge bedroom with a very good bathroom, excellent hairdryer but poor air-con - it kept cutting out every 15 minutes and had to be reset. The hotel is in a good location, just... More

When we arrived at the Optics Valley Kingdom Plaza everyone was in a bad mood. Our Yangtze cruise ship had broken down in front of the first lock in Yichang, meaning we missed out on the Three Gorges and we had just been transferred back to Wuhan in a lengthy bus ride. From the moment we walked into the lobby... More

Wuhan is a large city about an hour by plane west of Shanghai. It's a city with many universities and students. I was booked into this hotel "to save money" which usually is a bad sign. However, I was very pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the hotel. I was on the executive floor (which was very reasonably priced)... More

I have been at this hotel at least 5 times and rooms are all high quality, with clean and modern furniture, spacious, clean and very funtional. A great service -- better English among staff would be desirable, but I always managed without speaking Chinese -- very nice breakfast and dinner buffets and a couple of blocks away from the lake... While I'm certain that this is one of the more comfortable places to stay in Wuhan, my two-star rating is based on comparisons only to other hotels in this price range, rather than hotels across the board. This hotel has been infected with the same trend towards trendiness and gadgetry that seems to be sweeping China in general. I recently... More

OK, how should I go about rating this hotel? First, it is relatively new and it is a local China hotel that wants to make itself a modern European hotel. On this, the hotel has to try harder as this goes beyond dressing up th staff bjut also in terms of its decor and furnishing. Room in my opinion stilll... More

Located in the Optics Valley region of Wuhan, this hotel is right in the center of lots of activity. The hotel has beautiful furnishings and a very warm and gracious staff. I stayed on the 17th floor which has an "executive lounge" for cocktails or snacks and open for a very good breakfast in the morning. The room was spacious,... More
