We just returned from a trip to Harbin and we reserved a room via Ctrip at this hotel in the VIP building. My room reminds me of my college day dorm room both size and amenities. I got a desk with a chair, a TV on a stand, a tiny closet, a small bed and a small bathroom. Although it... More

Friendship Palace hotel is a really nice hotel - the rooms are nice (I think they may have been newly renovated) and its fairly central just a couple blocks from Central Street. Unfortunately the service is horrible. They won't even call a taxi for you (& this was for a 5:30am departure), they also don't try very hard to help... More

Honestly I rarely leave reviews, but in this case I was pretty disappointed with this property. My wife and I booked the cheaper room through Ctrip, it cost about 80usd a night. We went for the first few days of the ice festival. I input dates in march here on trip advisor once by accident and noticed it gets to... More

This is a standard Chinese style quality hotel. It's very conveniently located though the facilities are a bit dated. For the price and location though, it's difficult to compete. I stayed in a nice, large suite which was very comfortable and spacious. The mattress could have been more comfortable though. I find that's one area where the local Chinese hotels... More

Stayed there for a full week in February 2014 on a visit to the ice festival. VERY convenient for all sites and sights. While the older rooms looked dingy as I passed, I had booked a business room which turned out to be in the new wing. Room bright and pleasant, overlooking an interior courtyard mostly filled with a domed... More

The hotel is in a good location. Easy to access and food is plentiful around the location. The staff hardly speak English and that is a big difficulty if you don't speak Mandarin. However someone used technology to help us I.e Chinese-- English SMS translation The place was clean and the room comfortable. Breakfast was reasonably good.

It's my second time to stay at this hotel. The price is quite high, but the price of all hotels in Harbin during the Ice and Snow festival are high. There is nothing wrong with the rooms, and the location is excellent. The hotel looks old, but part of the point of staying here is that it is old. The... More

Rooms are dirty, staff are unprofessional, beds are rock hard, no bottled water, bathroom smells. I moved out after one night of a 3 night stay in Harbin......nothing good i can say about this place.......................avoid at all costs.

I'm so happy we only stayed in Harbin one night; our stay was bad because of this hotel. Even though the staff here was friendly and the hotel was in walking distance to some of the sights (not the Ice Festival - we had to take a short taxi ride to get there), the room grossed me out. The carpet... More

room for 70 euros was terribly dirty. Old, damaged furniture, carpet stained and full of holes, walls dirty and moldy. In room 331 no heating (-20 outside). Solving the problem by staff: we're sorry. That's all! Our window opened to the dirty magazine, restaurant dirty, stinky. The remnants of food on dirty tables. Nothing, absolutely nothing for Western tourists. Even... More
