Our four nights at the Baohong were pleasant without being amazing. After being tricked by C-Net into taking a room in the side tower and being deprived of the promised bath, we settled in nicely. The beds were comfortable, the rainwater shower amazing, and the overall feel of the room wasn't bad. Our view of a wall or, looking up,... More

This is a large, somewhat anonymous, hotel a little back from the beach area. Rooms are a decent size, windows open a little, though that lets in street noise (chinese drivers love their horns). Breakfast has a wide-range of adequate options. Staff are pleasant, and those that need to, speak english. Concierge is diligent and woke me for my cab... More

Large, clean room. Large, well designed bathroom (but all faucets were broken). Big bed, good matress, nice linen. Free internet. Bland dull breakfast. This is a hotel for asian guests; it has no swimming-pool, and it is not situated by the beach (it has a shuttle-service 2x/h to the beach). The hotel is out of walking distance from Sanya, so... They had issues checking us in with our orbitz reservation, but other than that, the service was very smooth. The room had great features, however it smelled like smoke and the carpet needed to be replaced. It was just stained. They had a beach bag with towels and sandels for you. The breakfast was good. You should try the bacon.... More

The Baohong hotel is in the Dadonghai beach area.. that is near the city, compared to the others, which are a long way away. the resort hotels, like the marriott, are very nice, we went there, spent the day on there beach, sat in there pool, and in their jacuzi, but theres nothing else to do or go to, apart... Nice Hotel, clean comfortable rooms ,close to beach but that's where it ends. Very poorly trained staff who do not speak English even in key areas. i.e. Breakfast tables left uncleared of plates and food scraps, wait 15 minutes for coffee at breakfast, in restaurants and bars white wine and beer served warm when complained beer and wine placed in...
