The location is great. The hotel is located in a nice park, which is about the only thing going for it.

The rooms were outdated and worn looking, they have not been refurbished for many years. The walls were frayed with stains.
We tried 4 different rooms, they were all tired. Shabby through clean, I'll admit.
The hotel is overpriced and is still trading on its past glory (the meaning of "overpriced" is: similar to a 4-star hotel in Beijing).

They don't accept foreign credit cards (to change money you have to go to Anshun city, a 45 min bus trip).

We ate three days at the hotel. The food was just average. The breakfast was miserable.

Do yourself a favor and stay in a hotel in Guiyang. Links between Guiyang and Huangguoshu are excellent. more
