Stayed at the DayHello for a few days on business before using the Ferry Port to HKIA. The rooms require a revamp especially the carpet, however, if you are not sleeping on the carpet the rooms are good. For Chinese hotels the bathrooms are ok and the beds are very comfortable. I like a medium bed. Pillows are great. Staff... More

About 30 minutes drive from the airport this was a fairly average hotel experience for us, chosen because of it's proximity to Shekou Port (a ten minute cab ride) and work we were doing with Shenzhen Customs, also very close. The hotel is also located next to a large technical college. It's an older hotel now, and looks it; rooms... More

Staff were helpful if you speak Chinese. Tricky if you don't. The rooms are ok - the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms good - but there is plenty of external noise, the wifi didn't work, the hotel is in a bit of a dead zone (apart from the adjoining karaoke joint) and the breakfast is poor by any standard.... Was in Shenzhen on business staying at couple nights at the Dayhello Hotel. The location was very handy for me from a business perspective and the room I had was surprisingly comfortable and pretty high end really. A tremendous bargain for the price! Only complaint would be that the breakfast buffet was somewhat limited with respect to Western food; great... More

Had to stay for 3 nights here. My room was on the 3rd floor and I did not know that karaoke lounge was on the 2nd... They were singing till 3am there and you could feel it as it were just in your bathroom. Every time I put the sign "Do not disturb" before going to breakfast I found housekeeping... More

I have stayed 5 times at this hotel in 2012 because it is close to Sea World and for the money, is probably the best in that area. The positives for the hotel are: good a/c, clean rooms, a fitness center (more on that) and a pleasant staff. The negatives: breakfast buffet offers a lot of choices, including cereal, fruit,... This is a place I use sometimes as a back up if my normal hotel is booked. It is geared towards local patrons but the staff try very hard to please the western customers as well. Large rooms, modern furnishings, well kept, comfortable beds and clean which is what I look for when choosing a room. The language barrier is... More

I booked this hotel only because of it's low price and proximity to the offices I had to visit in Nanshan district. BAD choice! This is a 1-star hotel with horrible service and ambience. The only staff that spoke English was the one Concierge guy. If he isn't in, you're SOL. I placed an order for room service, and they... More

Vey clean and the staff are very friendly. I don’t know how else to describe the overall feel than….quirky. Sort of a “Moorish” design with MASSIVE rooms. I mean 3-4x larger than hotels rooms in Europe with garish red decorations and styling. OK, at least it’s not boring! Located close to the ferry terminal if you fly out of Hong... More
