My SO and I have stayed in a wide range of hotels in China, in a wide range of places. Our suite at the Marine Garden was above average, but not quite "very good". Carpets were very stained and like other hotels we've stayed in, even very high end ones, the carpets are not vacuumed daily. As other reviewers have... more

This appears to be a beautiful (if maybe a bit unsympathetic to its surroundings) hotel in a beautiful location. But be warned - they charged us 4 star hotel prices to stay a few weeks ago. My wife and I spent a night in early January as part of a privately organised tour. We had a room on the second floor with a partial sea view. We stayed at the Xiamen Marine Garden Hotel during the May week long holiday.
