We chose this hotel for it's location near the square (able to walk around town easily) and because it is a smaller property of historic significance. We were very happy with our experience here. The property is delightful for those of us who enjoy antiques. Yes, the rooms are small...but so what? How long are you in it? We did... more

great old hotel - had a wonderful large room overlooking the park. nice breakfast selection. there are better values in the town for short stays. if you do not care about the price/valus - then stay here. more

This is an interesting historical building that has been converted to a hotel with style. It is right in the centre of what is admittedly nothing more or less than a gateway town, but it has character, comfort and a colourful ambience. Our room was large, decorated in keeping with the hotel generally, very comfortable and very quiet. The large... more

We stayed here for a night this year and have nothing but praise for the hotel. Yes, the rooms were tiny, and we had two twin beds, but it was only for a night. I would describe it as a hotel with heritage/class. The rooms were lovely, and from what I could see no two were the same on my... more

Just back from 3 weeks in Patagonia where we stayed at some pretty amazing places. This can't really be said to be one of them. Yes, it is in a charming old building and the dining room is a lovely glassed-in greenhouse. But the room was so small that there wasn't floor space left after putting down our two bags.... more

When the most entertaining part of the evening is watching the disciplined Chilean police pile out a Mercedes van in full riot gear to cope with a crowd of soccer fans, you know that you are in a true backwater! Punta Arenas on the Magellan straits does not have much pizazz and neither does this hotel. The entrance hall is... more

This is the best hotel in Punta Arenas. I agree, fabulous dining room, great food to go with it too. Staff very welcoming. loved the old mansion house feel to the place, rooms were small but high ceilings so didn't feel too closed in. Watch out for the level 4 rooms, very high windows and flood lights! Ask for rooms... more

We loved this old, historic, picturesque hotel in the middle of downtown Punta Arenas. The room was tiny but the service was personal. It's right next to town center. And one of the city's hippest late night clubs is downstairs just around the corner. But the best part is the small dining room with some of the best food in... more
