The building is built into the side of a hill facing a fiord and snow-capped peaks. All the rooms face the fiord so there isn't a single one with a bad view. The decor is minimalist, with indigenous art and photos of the spectacular flora and fauna of Patagonia. It's comfortable except all that concrete makes the place a bit... More

This a very unusual hotel which has turf for its roofs and some quirky decor. It is about a thirty minute walk from town. To describe the views from the hotel as "spectacular" would be a gross understatement. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Service is good and the restaurant is OK.

In Altiplanico sur, each room has a view... They are quiet and hotel's conception give you impression to be alone. Nice breakfast, good diner. A jacuzzi in each aisle and to get it with wind, at the end of afternoon after a great hike is an experience not to miss. Don't worry about the road...After 10'30 pm and till 8... More

There is not much to do in Puerto Natales, which is porbably a good thing for the Altiplnicpo Sur because it is a long way from town (but taxis into town are only 2000 pesos) but it is very comfortable, the food and drinks are excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. It rained the whole time wee were... More

We booked a 3 day/2 night tour through Altiplanico Discover which included 2 nights at this hotel. I loved it here. It has a very cool design. It is built into the hillside right next to the lake. It is not in the town of Puerto Natales but it is a short and cheap cab ride or a 20 minute... More

This is a unique eco-hotel with nice architectural elements and views. However, the staff lacked proper communication when contacted about transportation from the airport. Although I contacted the hotel a week prior to my trip, I was not provided the proper information on how to get to the hotel from the airport. As a result, I lost vacation time (hours)... More

My husband and I booked a night in this hotel only because we couldn't get three nights in a row at a different hotel. We wished we could have stayed longer! From the outside, the hotel has a very unique look, but the inside is wonderful. Our room used concrete and other interesting materials to create a feeling and look... More

Unfortunately, we were booked into this hotel for one night only, en route to the Torres del Paines National Park. Our group would have liked to have stayed longer. The hotel is designed as an eco-friendly development and is a rather unusual combination of natural materials. It looks rather plain from the exterior, but internally it has a unique character.... This hotel was of a type unique to us, constructed of natural materials (adobe-like) and at the same time modern. The hotel is spread out allowing for privacy, and integrates well with the surrounding terrain. The rooms are quite large and comfortable, and the location is close enough to the small town of Puerto Natales to walk. Our stay was... More

We came to Puerto Natales at the very end of the season, in fact it was last two days before the hotel was going to close for winter. It felt the whole place was just for us as there was just one other couple staying in the hotel. We did get great service and the food in the restaurant was... More
