We stayed two nights before and after our Patagania trek at Kau Lodge. The hotel is directly at the waterfront and all rooms have seaview. The service was good, the breakfast -even at 6am in the morning nice- and the coffee good. The main placa is about 10 walk minutes away.

This place is under rated! Situated right on the water with beautiful views from our room and from the downstairs cafe. Beds very comfortable and breakfast was included. Coffee to die for! We were able to enjoy a cocktail hour of their homemade Pisco Sours and walk to wonderful places to eat. Staff very kind. We were able to store... More

Qantas late in to Santiago meant we missed the flight to Punte Arenas and therefore our bus to Puerto Natales.... We contacted Kau Lodge by phone and e-mail and with 5 hours before we arrived in Punte Arenas they organised a taxi at a 75% discount compared to the regular fare and 25% of the taxi fares we found on... We stayed at the Kau lodge for just one night. We asked for a room with twin beds. I wasn't expecting a bunk bed, however it turned out to be quite comfortable. The room was very clean and the beds comfy. Breakfast was a special treat -- fresh juice and amazing coffee. I would recommend staying here.

Nice place to sleep before and after torres del paine trek. We slept both in bunk beds and in double bad. There is washing service very close to the hotel and taxi costs only 1.5 us dollars in the city so it is very convenient. The breakfast is nice and the syaff is very helpful. Cons: - no elevator -... On the waterfront and only 3 blocks from the town centre makes this a great location. The room size is generous although some peeling paint reduces the standard of accommodation. The staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to directions in English which saved us time trying to finds banks, laundry, etc. The WiFi strength varied in the... More

I made an unplanned stop in Puerto Natales as I missed the last bus to Torres del Paine. It was pouring rain and I was upset and tired and this place was an absolute godsend! The girl on reception spoke perfect English ( I know I should have taken some Spanish classes!!)and was so kind and helpful. They have a... More

We arrived at Kau after 2.5 hours driving from Punta Arenas and it was a wonderful treat. The girl at the desk was friendly and spoke English. Our room, although small, was warm and had beautiful views of the mountains, they give you shampoo and soap and there are small shelves to keep your stuff. Sleep was peaceful and the... More
