This place is convenient if you want to go to torres del Paine and have not much of a clue, since they have a pub next door in which they give a talk everyday at 3pm and rent some gear. Rooms are ok, the place is cozy, breakfast is homemade bread, cereal, jam, pb, coffee, yogurt and an egg. You... More

This place gets great reviews in the backpacker circuit and I'm not really sure why. The dorms are small, there are no lockers, they're around the common area (noisy) and there aren't enough outlets. Electricity is especially important for people going to and/or returning from their treks. Hot showers are only until 10pm so don't plan on an evening shower.... More

We stayed here on recommendation from other travellers. We were advised that it was the best place to stay to get organised for the Torres del Paine trek and they were right. On arrival the hostel has wood fires and feels warm and cosy. It was generally fairly quiet as everyone is out getting their stuff ready for the trek... More

This has to be one of the, if not the best place to stay in Puerto Natales. If you're planning on doing any trekking in Torres it's especially helpful to stay here as they host a park info session daily at 3pm. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the resident guests are great too! They also cook... More

I would recommend this hostel to anybody going through Puerto Natales. It is a clean, comfortable starting point and ending point for anybody planning to trek in Torres del Paine. It is a great place to meet other hikers. Both the staff and the hikers give excellent advice about anything you need to know for both Torres del Paine and... More

This hostel was the hardest place to leave. It's a black hole of comfort and friendliness that just wont let you go. The breakfast is awesome. The showers are hot. The wifi is fast (for Puerto Natales). The owner is cool. The staff is friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Good kitchen. Super chill! What more could you want?

What to say. It is true, best breakfast in town, Bill and the rest are great guys, the info sessions at the base camp are perfect. My favorite hostel in Chile so far. Great backpacker atmosphere. Lot of good program like recycling founded there. Stay true guys!

The are enough excellent reviews below for you to get the picture. This is an excellent place. My tip is to stand close to the rental counter at the back of the bar for the free info talk, because during the brief they will tell you there is a box of left over equipment and supplies and it is first... The people at Erratic Rock were SO helpful via email when a lone traveler had problems in transit on the way there (missed plane, missed bus). I was able to text their advice to the traveler, who arrived safely. Their kindness and responsiveness really helped alleviate our concerns. Many thanks to the friendly and capable staff at Erratic Rock Hostel!

Very friendly staff. And they obviously know how to run a business. A bit expensive, but the comfort is worth the money. We stayed in the double room. So we don't know nothing about the dorms. The toilet is really clean, but is shared with all the customers.
