We stayed twice in this hotel on out Chile trip for one night each. The hotel is at a nice location directly on the beach and when we opened the window we could hear the waves braking on shore. The reservation worked fine and the staff was friendly and helped out wherever they could. Their English was quite limited, but... More

We were here for a few nights. It is still a simple room for the price, but the room was clean and we liked being so close to the ocean. The bar was great and you can't beat having happy hour overlooking the ocean. They also served dinner on Sunday and few places do that. The desk was very nice... More

As everyone states it is a bit dated. We had a nice room with no complaints right on the ocean. I give it a four because the staff was so great and friendly, the hotel itself is closer to a three.Oscar, who checked us in and out along with helping out with anything we needed was great. I did not... More

This hotel was probably nice in the 60s but is now very rundown. The furniture is old and threadbare and painted a hideous green. This wasn't the worst part of staying here though. The staff were dreadful particulary in the bar. Service was non-existent. We were so disgusted with the place that we ate most of our meals elsewhere.

This beach side hotel has lovely views and super little pools including a seawater one. Food and service are very good. However I and many of my group were housed in tired and tatty four bedded bungalows outside the main building.

This hotel is a basic hotel. The breakfast was nice. The rooms are very basic and as another rater stated the furniture is painted in an ugly green color. The hotel in itself is rundown a bit. The nice thing about the restaurant was that there was an oceanview. The hotel needs renovation, but then again hotels in Chile are... More

The Hotel Arica is living on past glories. Great setting on the sea front but tired rooms which need a complete refurbishment. The rooms are clean but dull. Don't know what the alternatives are but would look around.

When this hotel was built, it was no doubt the height of chic. These days the fabric of the building is looking a little the worse for wear - but this is probably inevitable given its location, just feet from the corrosive waves and spray of the Pacific Ocean. Likewise, our room smelt a little damp - but again, the... More

We stayed there for three nights. Five stars please not even one. Like most people we agree decent location. The room was awful; smelly, small, and dirty. Toilet didn’t work, the bedspread were filthy and wooden handmade furniture painted in ugly green,,, brrr, The staff unfriendly on the first night we asked to be moved my husband left his Panama... It's easy to miss the hotel sinec it doesn't say "Panamerica" on the sign, just Hotel Arica. Once inside, it's perfectly acceptable, just looking a bit dated. There was a large wedding on one of the nights we were there but the staff coped with dinner well. It's nice to sit by the pool and watch the sea. Three swimming... More
