The location of the hotel is very good, being on the beach. The rooms are large but they are showing their age. The first room we had, had an extremely noisily airco unit. Changed to another room where it was fine, however, I am sure that we were not the first to complain about the unit. they really need to... More

Hotel is located right on the beach with lovely views from the room however you will need to take a taxi into town (about £2 each way) and the staff especially in the restaurant are very unfriendly!! Overall nice hotel but not much personality and you get the feeling the restaurant staff are glad to see the back of you!

My wife and I stayed for several nights in this skyscraper block as near to Chinchorro Beach as physically possible. The spacious room was on the 8th floor and had excellent views from two sides. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped, with a good en-suite. Food and service were very good. It helps to make an attempt to speak Spanish.

For Arica this Hotel is excellent. The staff are very accommodating, the rooms are clean and the view of the ocean is wonderful. I have been to Arica many times and this trip was made the best because of our accommodations. Ask for an ocean view on the 9th floor and you won't be disappointed. Ask for the south end... More

Very helpful staff, they could not have tried any harder to help with our disorganised trip. Superb italian restaurant down the road, about 5/10 mobs walk along seafront. Get a room overlooking the sea. Good breakfast but a lot of plate crashing, cutlery noise from.waiter.

Diego de Almagro is a hotel that could be outstanding but the lacklustre staff is holding it back. The staff is very cold towards North American travellers and in a small northern town assistance is a must! The hotel is very overpriced despite low demand in the area. Don't be lured in by the pool and the fancy lobby. Support... More

We've had to go to Arica twice now, both times for work not tourism (and in all honesty, with so much to see in Chile, I would never put Arica on the bucket list). The first time we went we didn't have a car and stayed at the El Paso Park (a fairly grim 2 star at best); this time... More

The DA sits right on Playa Chinchorro, but it is by no means a beach hotel. It’s a – disappointing – business hotel that happens to be on a beach. The DA is clearly catering to a business clientele with meetings/seminars going on all the three days we stayed there. We found the pool area to be small and rather... More

i have stayed at this hotel twice, both times for a one week. The rooms are nice, and you can walk out the back door directly to the beach. Unfortunately, the beach isn't the cleanest beach in the world. In fact, there was a lot of trash all over the area around the hotel. The hotel itself was clean, the... More

Overnight stay, prior to early morning flight to Santiago. Had lunch in the restaurant on arrival. Food was excellent, very large portions and very well presented. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and bed was luxurious! Good range of toiletries in bathroom. Was a short walk to several beachside Restaurants and small shopping area. I left... More
