Stayed at The Siem Reap Hostel in June 2015. Good location, very unique hostel. Happy hour is 50 cent beer, you can’t beat it. The food was surprisingly good and affordable. Stayed in a private room, very roomy with private balcony, would recommend to future travelers in the area.

My friends and I stayed here during the last few days of our Southeast Asia backpacking trip and could not have been happier. The staff are friendly, the food is good, and the pool is CHILLED. Being the hottest city in Cambodia (in my opinion), a cold, refreshing pool is great to come back to after a day in the... More

Absolutely the best place to stay in Siem Reap. Great value for the price and accordingly, super popular. Make sure you book ahead because they often fill up!! You can read about all of their amazing perks on their website, but I especially loved their in-house tuk tuk drivers (no need to haggle with drivers or worry about whether you're... More

Great social hostel, cool pool & bar area. Very CLEAN, exceptionally well maintained. Close to everything. Staff are super friendly & helpful. Temple tours are easily organised at very reasonable rates. Lots of tourist info provided. Everything is so easy! Managers Gus & Driess go above & beyond to make sure everyone is happy. As a regular traveller to Cambodia,... More

Stayed two nights here as I was exploring the Angkor archaeological park. This is a decent hotel with nice facilities and good English speaking staff. As previously mentioned, the number of showers seems to be a bit low. As for people complaining about price, it is competitively priced given that this is one of the hottest tourist attractions in the... More

As our first hostel on our 3 week trip in Cambodia and Thailand, we couldn't have asked for anything more! The dorms are spacious and cleaned twice daily, with well functioning air con and fan. The bar area and pool area is really nice for socialising, with reasonably priced and tasty food as well as cheap beer (0.50c!). The pool... More

The hostel is gorgeous, beautifully set out and the undercover pool is a wonderful touch. Great priced tours and meals. We had a small issue on one of the tours, and the manager sorted it out for us, and asked for feedback on how to stop the issue occuring again, which speaks volumes to me on the professional attitude and... We loved our stay here. There is cheap beer at happy hour, and a nice common area that brings most people down and talking. We also booked our bus onwards from the reception which was at a decent price, as well as the tuk tuk to angkor wat, and he was so incredibly funny!

The hostel had good facilities, though there were only two showers for a form of 18 people. That was a bit crowded sometimes. They also didn't make up your bed. For the price you pay for a dorm bed ($8) I would have expected a breakfast. But no, that costs at least $2 extra. The atmosphere in the central area... More

Hi, why did you expect breakfast was included? You booked through Hostelworld on which our site clearly states that our $2 all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast of pancakes, fresh fruits, cereals, toast, hot drinks and juices is not included for those staying in dorms. We feel, as experienced travellers ourselves, we offer a great deal here at the SRH. Your money goes... More

This place is not a hostel - its a hotel! Great spacious dorms, large rooms and beds. Bathrooms are cleaned twice per day. Walking distance to Pub St and shops/markets. Loads of great cafes/bars. Common area is massive with a pool and bar (great drink specials, 50 cent beer). Common areas located on every level. Heaps of activities to do... More
