Wow! What a place! Upon arrival we we're greeted by several wonderfully smiley & enthusiastic students who made us feel so welcome. Service was amazing. The students had cold towels & cold water waiting for us. They couldn't take our bags from us quick enough. The room, service & food were faultless. The housekeeping team cleaned our room several times... More

The staff at this hotel are lovely and do their best to make your stay comfortable. It's not perfect, but keep in mind that it's a training hotel and they're doing wonderful work. Be patient with the front desk staff, all of whom are learning English and hospitality skills. Pros: -Very comfortable beds -Every space is immaculate -Nice bath products... More

I stayed there in December 2014 for 2 nights. The room I chose was the suite room, which was very comfortable, spacious and clean!! There was turn down service from housekeeping as well. I also had the breakfast and lunch at the restaurant. The food was professional with good presentation. All the students showed their hospitality and effort all the... More

Sala Bai initiative is absolutely superb. It takes poverty stricken youth, and provides them with hospitality skills to achieve a better life and support their families. The students are staff with the hotel and they are very well trained, courteous and generous with their smiles. The food, again prepared by the students, is absolutely mind numbingly tasty and well presented.... More

Ok so if you are the kind of person that only wants 5* hotels, don't waste your time, Sala Bai is not for you. We could have chosen any hotel in Siam Reap but we chose to support the local community and these students that proved themselves unbelievable. They are very friendly and helpful, they really make an effort to make... Thank you very much for your comment. We are very happy that you enjoyed the experience at Sala Bai! As a hospitality school for underpriviledged young Cambodians, we try our best to propose the best service possible in our training hotel and restaurant, so make our guests fully satisfied beyond the good cause purpose! The rooms are nice and clean, the staff are great, always more than happy to help a much as they can. Everything is as advertised, have no criticisms. It's good to know your money is helping the students, not just filling someone's pockets.

Myself and a friend stayed at sala bai during our travels around asia. We choose it because of its ethical principal, backed up by some great reviews! The staff were all so kind and helpful, the room clean and tidy, and the rates reasonable. Having said that, this is probably not for a backpacker's budget! We cycled from here to angkor... More

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and very delicious food in the restaurant. The hotel and restaurant train underprivileged youth and have changed people's lives. It's a great place to stay in Siem Reap and you won't be disappointed!

We stayed for one night at Sala Bai whilst visiting Angkor Wat. We were pleased to find that there were spare rooms (there are only four), as we had read about this hotel/school before we started our trip and thought it sounded great. Sala Bai takes in around 100 underprivileged local kids each year and teaches them various different skills... More
