Arrived in Siem Reap around 7.00pm from Poipet and taxi driver recommended it - no surprise there! Slightly out of the town so nice and peaceful for sleeping and a $2 tuk-tuk ride took you straight in to the centre. Staff friendly and helpful and would stay there again. As Westerners how could you ever complain about the prices paid... More

Staff friendly and helpful. Housekeeping surprised and happy when tip left on bed, gave me a hug. I was invited to share New Year's with them, and day before returning to Thailand, gave me a going away party in an ethnic village. What an honour to experience their everyday life, to have the hunter's come, and the special treat was... More

I rate Hotels according to their price to. With more expensive Hotels I have more expectations. This is a budget place to stay and offers good value for money. Rooms no Aircon where 10 Dollars* Rooms with Aircon where 15 Dollars* *As ALWAYS in South East Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos) room prices are negociable and vary from customer to... More

Staff is not unfriendly; they sleep in the lobby so there's always someone around to check you in/out. Room was clean and a/c worked fine. They add the "breakfast package" (approx. $5/night) without asking me. Ásk not to have that extra. If you're planning on visiting Angkor you'll probably leave early, before breakfast is served. Plus the quality is so-so... More

A friend and I stayed there for three nights out of our originally planned four. We finally decided to move out for the fourth night. We found that the reception staff, especially the woman, over charges nearly everything, from trip to the floating village to bus ticket to else where. And she got irrateted when we found and told her... More

We stayed at this guesthouse early December 2007. Our experience was OK. since we didn't expect a high class service for the price that we paid. The staff was OK. some wasn't helpful and unfriendly, but that's OK. We had American breakfast there it wasn't what we expected, however, it was something new to try and the price was considered... We stayed at the Siem Reap Riverside guesthouse (not Angkor Riverside or Riverside Hotel) which we booked via internet, thought that it was a good place to stay, we were mistaken, also mistaken by the similarities of the name. The lady boss at the place has a terrible attitude which rubbed on the staffs as well. None of the staff... More
