We stayed at the Sokha Angkor Hotel in October 2009, and had a thoroughly pleasant stay! The deluxe pool view room we had was spacious and well-appointed, with all the in-room facilities we could have needed while on vacation. Wi-fi was available at a reasonable price, which we made use of. Room service was of a high standard, and was... more

This is hands down the worst hotel we've ever been to, and here are the issues we had: - there was BLOOD on the bed cover that was not ours (they tried to hide it) - having requested for a non-smoking room, they gave us a smoking room; changed it to another room but made us wait for 30minutes -... more

This is a very good hotel with all amenities Large room, impressive lobby. Fantastic restaurants - specially "Le Chanthou" where the Khmer cuisine is really good... we loved it The room, as all facilities, were spotless . The swimmingpool was an excelente way to finish the day, after visiting the temples. The hotel can issue the angkor pass to the... more

During our stay the hotel was far from full so we could easily change room from the ground floor (no balcony) to the third floor overlooking the pool. The room was reasonable clean, huge enough, with bath and separate shower and the bed has extreme large size (~2.5m wide). As August was not a high-season there were several promotions in... more

It started with the hotel manager introducing himself and joining us for an evening drink. My mother who is 82 was fussed over from the time they picked us up from the airport and dropped us back. Staff treated us as all individual important and did that little bit extra without being asked. more

Sokha Angkor Resort is strategically located in the heart of Siem Reap. Walking distance to the Old Market Place popular for local handicrafts, a 10 minute drive to the Airport and 15 minutes to the world famous Angkor Wat Temples. The ruins of the ancient city of Angkor, capital of the Khmer kingdom from 802 until 1295 A.D., are one... more

I find it difficult to believe that Scuba Diving Kate stayed in the same hotel! We found the room very comfortable and clean, the bathroom spacious and with the added benefit of a separate shower and the bed huge and comfortable. I can understand her point about the smoking/non-smoking room, that would have upset me too. The swimming pool was... more

Trip Advisor is such a wonderful tool however on this occasion all the positive reviews stump me. Our hotel room was in a smoking wing despite having requested non smoking. We were sorely disapointed with the dated furniture and daggy bathroom. The room stank and I'm am very allergic to cigarette smoke so we asked to change rooms. Initially through... more

What a stunning hotel, it is so beautifully designed and decorated. The pool is amazing. Uniformed staff greet you and open the doors. Rooms are lovely. We had a room overlooking the temple at the side of the hotel, but I suspect a pool view room would probably be nicer (but no complaints!). Breakfast was good. The hotel is deserted... more

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was superb. We were fortunate enough to be up-graded to a club suite which was very luxurious. The bed was huge (about 8 feet) the room was very spacious with excellent decor and beautiful wood flooring but the best bit by far was the lovely bathroom with a large circular stone bath... more
