The Empress Angkor is a super hotel. It looks good, the people are friendly and helpful, even if their English is not great, but then it is better than my Cambodian! The rooms are spacious and well furnished, clean and well maintained, and the Restaurant is excellent and offers great value for money particularly with its buffets. We found that... more

We just finished a 5 night stay at the Empress Angkor Hotel. The property is well maintained, and service excellent. The pool is very nice. Employees go out of their way to meet your needs. The only complaint was the shower. As another reviewer mentioned, the temperature goes from warm to icy cold to scalding hot and then back again.... more

Hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport. We were met at the hotel by a warm and friendly reception manager. We found the rooms to be clean and spacious, although we needed to run the shower for some minutes before it reached a temperature that wasn't to hot or cold. A unique experience was the reception traditional Cambodian musician... more

The Empress is a grand hotel in the old style. The staff were welcoming, the guest rooms nice, and the public rooms exceptional. We paid $70 a night for an upgraded room with breakfast (not particularly good), and think the same room in a similar hotel in the states would go for upwards of $300. There was a problem initially... more

The Empress is a beautiful hotel, with an impressive lobby, a charming courtyard/swimming pool area, and large, spacious rooms. We got a deal of three nights for 219 dollars. Our room was large and beautifully decorated with hardwood floors and paneling, and a good sized balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was comfortable. We got breakfast delivered to our room... more

After much research we chose this hotel to stay at while in Siem Reap for 4 days. I was relieved to hear from my personal tour guide when picked up at the airport that this was a fine hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel my smile broadened, with its exquisite teak panelling & HUGE chandelier hovering over the foyer we... more

Lovely hotel, great rooms and amenities, fantastic service. This is a very nice hotel, a little off the beaten track of Siem Reap (not a bad thing). The pool is fantastic, and the staff was very accommodating. The only drawback is the restaurant isn't great (although the food in Siem Reap in general wasn't my favorite), so this is a... more
