Our family of four stayed at the HDLP for a week while visiting the Angkor Wat area. Unlike most of the upscale hotels, it is located in the city centre, just a few blocks from the central markets and the restaurant/bar area. The contrast between the noisy, dusty, bustling city and the calm, cool, squeaky clean and quiet of the... more

I completely enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The daily breakfast buffet was ordered a la carte, instead of the typical buffet spreads. The housekeeping staff cleaned the room daily (sometimes twice a day!), and replenished the bottled drinking water, jasmine flowers and fragrance oil daily. This value-addedness made the stay even more cosy and enjoyable! The architecture and interior... more

My wife and I have stayed here twice now and never fail to be impressed with everything about this hotel and would recommend it to anyone wanting a place to escape from the dust and busy streets in Siem Reap. A great place to base yourself when exploring the temples, as it provides a lovely retreat to return to in... more

I loved the Hotel De La Paix. I had one of the larger "urban view" rooms where the bathtub was adjacent to the living area and there was a separate shower and toilet area (I also saw a slightly smaller room where the shower and toilet area are part of the larger bathroom area). The hotel is considered one of... more

This hotel really is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The architecture is absolutely beautiful! Amazing columns in the entrance, really unusual hanging tables and chairs in the restaurant, lovely pool, cute little booths to sit in the shade... I stayed in one of the suites in the garden which had an outdoor courtyard with a tub... more

The thing that will remain with me most about the Hôtel de la Paix is the absolutely gorgeous jasmine scent that wafts through the air there. Some friends who went there on our recommendation actually bought some of it back with them! That said, the hotel is also stunning visually. We were upgraded to an amazing room, which had massage... more

This hotel is beautifully designed. It takes elements of the Cambodian culture and adds a modern twist. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. Angkor is just an incredible site - I first visited in 2001 and a second visit did not disappoint - the place never fails to take my breath away! The Hotel de la Paix was... more

I stayed at Hotel de la Paix in 2006 and still think of going back. My adult son and I combined Cambodia with a trip to Thailand. The service was spectacular. The pool area was the best I've seen within a city. It was private and really fun. There is a small gym right off the pool area. With great... more

A great hotel and so glad we stayed here. As others have said, it is an oasis of modern cool and calm amidst the dust and heat, with lovely helpful staff. The décor is great, really beautiful. Breakfasts in the Meric restaurant were fab – we loved having breakfast on the swinging beds, it was a lovely way to start... more

Hotel de la Paix is everything and more that you would expect from a ‘Small Luxury Hotel of the World’. Ideally located in Siem Reap town only a few minutes’ walk to the old market and the many restaurants and bars you could not be any closer to the heart of the action. Enter the hotel and the outside world... more
