Our first stop in Siem Reap. We had selected the hotel in an effort to find the Cambodian experience often lacking in the major chain hotels. The rooms are beautiful and large with a balcony and all the comforts of a 5 star hotel including an over-priced minibar and a large LCD TV. Then it's mostly downhill. The lobby in... More

Pros: - Nice swimming pool with a mini-gym - Near Angkor Wat - Spacious & beautiful room, multi-channels TV - Quick check in cos got 1 duty manager that understood and could converse in English - Soft pillows. One big pillow and one small pillow instead of 2 big pillows per bed Cons: - spoilt air-con panel, no free wifi,... More

We arrived back from our holiday in Cambodia on 11th match 2012 having had a wonderful experience. The hotel was excellent and offered great staff who looked after us amazingly. Nothing was a trouble and everything was done with a smile and a thank you. The rooms were very clean, with bedding and towels changed every day. The food was... More

Great hotel. Inexpensive, clean, with large comfortable rooms. Nice pool area, decent restaurant, nice spa with inexpensive massage on-site. Location is between airport and town, about 15 minutes drive from the ruins. So, downside is you need to take a cab everywhere, but nothing's more than a short, several dollar ride away. Staff are incredibly friendly. More

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group. It is a four star hotel, probably a low four star hotel. The location is good, not far from the places to see and things to do. And there is a convenience store shop next door, which was handy. The rooms were basic but clean. The buffet breakfast was... More

This is my first visit to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Although the hotel is not in downtown, we did not feel it as such, as we had our bus waiting for us all the time. The breakfast in the hotel was good, except that it had too much catering towards Korean food, probably because the were almost 90% Korean guests at that... This was my second stay at the Royal Empire Hotel and I enjoyed it as much as my first visit. I like the fact that it is not part of a faceless hotel chain and has some Cambodian charm. The hotel is not in 'downtown' Siem Reap but is only a short tuk tuk ride away (approx USD1.50 depending on... More

Got it on sale, paid less than 50 US a night with breakfast . Its a little out of the way (airport rd.) but there are these trikes you can get at anytime for between a buck or 2 to bring you to town(5 to 10 minute ride). The pool was nice but the gym was not too good(not that... More
