Stayed as part of GATE1 tour +ve Modern hotel with updated rooms Some attention to detail in the room ex. light switches with labels, overlapping curtains so no light gets through Decent sized outdoor central pool and hot tub area with some rooms getting the pool/courtyard view, though because of the direct sunlight the pool isn't popular during daytime. Restaraunt,... More

Booked the hotel through Tripadvisor and enjoyed every minute of it in the hotel. Lovely rooms, breakfast and breathtaking swimming pool. Took us 15 minutes to the Pub Streets. Plenty of choices for the breakfast and only if the services could be improved.

Hotel is well located close to Angkor Wat and Angker Thom. The lobby is impressive and the pool area is relaxing. Room has solid wood furnishing and modern amenities. It was very clean, and coming in from the heat, it felt comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a good variety of Western and Asian food. However, there were some issues... More

I was offered a choice of city view or pool view when I arrived at 1030pm after a 13 hour bus trip from Ho Chi Minh. Room was beautiful with a spectacular pool view. Everything was lovely and clean. Breakfast lovely but several things were cold. Wifi very slow but just have to try at offpeak times. Overall its a... More

Good hotel with unique interior design especially the wooden doors and furniture. Less than 5 mins to Angkor wat and town centre. However need to improve on staff friendliness. Staffs looks serious, smile to the guests can improve this.

Spent three nights at the Royal Empire. The rooms were very nice, service is good and staff is friendly. No real trouble, helpful staff etc, clean good location. we would stay there again... BUT had two very bad experiences (which I share some responsibility) 1. Ordered an espresso at the pool and they served with ice water which I drank... More

I was very disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in this hotel. I had read that there was construction going on, and I did not hear it in the morning or evening, but we had an afternoon break and the noise was deafening. Our guide wanted us to nap/rest, and that was not possible with the construction going on. The... More

The Royal Empire Hotel is a great hotel to check in to when in Siem Reap. The food is great, a massage at the spa is very relaxing and reasonably priced. The rooms are great and the beds are big and comfortable. The only problem is the wifi. Sometimes it's really good and at other times you can't really connect... More
