I can see why some people like this hotel but I just didn't think it was worth it. Its definitely outside of town and you need to take a tuk-tuk back and forth everytime you want to do something which is $5 a pop (or more depending on where you are going). The rooms are nice, the pool is very... more

This is a beautiful hotel, with a great pool, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, fantastic gardens. I wasn't blown away by it though - they tried to charge us for air con when we didn't want it (nor had we booked it) and they said they had booked our bus tickets and when we confirmed the day before leaving they said... more

The Borann was an Oasis for my family. We were a family of 5. The Borann was a perfect combination of price and tranquility. Coming to the hotel you drive down a dirt alleyway. Your initial thought is "this is why it's only $44". However, you are pleasantly surprised when you enter the grounds and find a peaceful place with... more

We loved our stay at the Borann. It's a little bit out of the centre of Siem Reap (about a 20 minute walk or 5 mins in a tuk tuk). It's a group of lovely buildings set around beautiful gardens and pool, with breakfast served in the open restaurant. We had room no. 20 which was upstairs with a large... more

Upon a friend's recommendation, we booked rooms at Borann for our stay in Sieam Reap. Our kids were shocked to have no tv, but that quickly wore off. We loved being close to the action in Old Market, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful garden. The pool is small, but sufficient to cool down and fine for kids... more

What a stunning place to experience Siem Reap. I would not stay anywhere else. People use the word oasis, and that's exactly what I thought when I arrived. Coming 'home' from the dusty hubbub of Siem Reap to Borann was just gorgeous. Room was exceptionally clean and was serviced everyday, bathroom was great, shower had hot water also if needed... more

Large rooms with comfortable beds. The kids loved the saltwater pool and was enormously refreshing after a hot day exploring the temples. Cheap $2 tuk-tuk ride into town. Breakfasts were not special, but offered basic fare that was fine. Siem Reap is not a foodie's paradise, but the temples are AWESOME and arranging an informative guide through the front desk... more

Enjoyed a 2 night stay at this lodging for 2 people. Bungalow style rooms with air con, big beds, good private shower/bathroom, private veranda overlooking palm leaves, quiet and peaceful retreat from the hectic pace of Siem Reap. The location is easiet to get to/from the airport if you take a tuk-tuk or taxi as it is out of reach.... more

Borann is beutifully apointed with simple elegance from the layout to apointements. With traditional Khmer architecture and relaxing gardens I can see why people call this place an oasis. The pool was a refreshing treat after the magnifigence of Angkor. My only complaints would be price at over US $40 and out of the way location. These issues aside this... more

The Auberge des Temples is truly an oasis in dusty Siem Reap! Getting there is a bit of a hassle since it's on the other side of the river and you have to walk for about 100 yds down a back-alley (dimly lit at night) before reaching the gates. But once inside the grounds you realize that they were orignally... more
