My wife and I stayed here for the second leg of my honeymoon. The hotel is a colonial era hotel, but I did expect a more luxurious hotel as it was rated as one of the top properties in the world. I had my room upgraded to the pool room before I arrived. However I feel the room and bathroom... more

I am a demanding customer. This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in, anywhere. We stayed at the Peninsula in Bangkok after Raffles Grand D'Angkor & Raffles had better service, a substantially better breakfast buffet, better mattress, softer linens & better toiletries. This is a GREAT HOTEL. We stayed in a poolside cabana w/ a view of the... more

A grand dame of a hotel that transports you back to colonial times with its comfortable four-poster beds in spacious rooms with ceiling fans hanging from high ceilings, landscaped grounds and a vast, dramatic pool area. Classic public areas, an antique wrought iron lift, and doormen in helmets and puttees complete the picture. But it's not all pretty. At dawn,... more

Stayed at this gem of a hotel for two nights on 28th of Jan, everything about the place was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the pool was outstanding and never too busy always plenty of sun loungers, we had a deluxe terrace pool view room whitch was devine, just like having your own... more

Arrival at the Raffles is a pleasure. Reception staff will invite you to sit down in the lounge and sip a cool welcome drink while they are copying relevant information from your business card and a passport. The hotel is beautiful in its simplicity and style reminiscent of old colonial times. Rooms are relatively small, furnished with old fashioned, unsophisticated... more

I had booked this hotel through a travel agent having previously stayed at Raffles hotel in Singapore. My stay there was very pleasant in that hotel is worthy of its five star rating. Raffles grand hotel d’angkor is totally different story. In short I found the hotel to be dated, we ate at the main restaurant in the hotel the... more

Stayed in high season for one night only. The poolside room was dark and pokey – despite the welcome drinks and fake Bakelite fittings, when you can get a more comfortable room to an international standard for thirty dollars around the corner – you wonder what you are paying ten times that for the Grand? A light lunch buffet will... more

Entering this hotel was like stepping into the pages of a short story from Somerset Maugham. The public areas are simple but elegant and there was a relaxed, unhurried atmostphere about the place. The pool is good and would have been excellent if only it had been heated (I am a woose and cannot bear going into cold water!). It... more

The Raffles hotel at Siem Reap is one of those grand colonial hotels, and is the oldest in Siem Reap. It isn't a modern, sterilised hotel but has lots of charm including a working lift that is possibly an antique! Definitely try to stay in the old wing. The new wing is just like any other hotel. It has extensive... more

First of all, let me say that I was the Grand in 2000, and Trip Advisor doesn't let you go back that far. But given the remoteness of this hotel, I think my feedback will still be useful to travelers looking to travel this part of the world. Second, I visited Siem Reap as a spontaneous side trip to a... more
