We recently visited Siem Reap to see the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. We heard the Raffles was superb in accomodations. That is an understatement. Their service was the best I've had in 40+ years of travel. Their staff assisted us in every way. The restaurant was amazing as well as the service. The driver (Dara) was extremely courteous, safe,... more

I had only one night to spend in Siem Reap, so I chose the best hotel I could think of. The Raffles Grand Hotel more than lived up to my expectations. The staff was extremely helpful, the food was excellent, and the room was very comfortable. An important extra: I had to check out of my room after breakfast, but... more

Definitely not as well kept as the Raffles in Singapore. The rooms are a little dated, the furniture does not match the room decor. That said, the rest of the hotel is simply fantastic. The staff (from the Front Office Mgr tp the bell boy) are super friendly. They greet you everytime, and ask how is your day. They make... more

Staying at this hotel transports you back to colonial times. The hotel has an elegant feel and the staff is very accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Pool was also very nice and relaxing after sightseeing. The restaurant at breakfast is extremely busy and filled with tour groups. Also dinner was very crowded and rushed, not very enjoyable to... more

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights at the beginning of August. Overall found the experience fantastic. From the minute we arrived until we left the customer service was totally outstanding and the ambiance of the hotel awsome. The room was very well appointed and contained everything you would expect of such a high class hotel. The breakfast buffet was... more

I stayed at Raffles with my twelve year old son. ( mother and son). We loved the buffet breakfasts. The costs of internal hotel services was expensive by Cambodia standards, but cheaper than normal. The room was a little dated but comfortable. This contributed really to its colonial charm; a spanking new decor in the circumstances might make this hotel... more

I like the old colonial atmosphere they have going here. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are fairly large and clean but some of the paint and furniture is starting to show it's age. Nice deep soaking tubs. The restaurant wasn't that good. Somewhat bland for cambodia. I'd skip it and go elsewhere for dinner. The pool was... more

I stayed for three nights and it was a lot of hassles. First I booked a a certain room catergory in the original building and was sent to the "new" wing. The room I was put in was moldly and dank. I put up a big fight and said I would be checking out the next day. I learned that... more

I have stayed here twice, the first time in March 2004, where I stayed in the newer part, overlooking the pool. The second time was a surprise for my wife. I arranged for the hotel to have a large bouquet of flowers & champagne put in the room for our arrival. As we opened the door there were the largest... more

First the good- excellent breakfast buffet, nice room with a definite sense of history, great swimmimg pool, good but expensive food, nice but expensive wine listgreat staff and inexpensive cocktails in the Elephant bar The bad- we were solo travellers and there was a large tour group in. We were made to feel unwelcome at times, told we could not... more
