This is an exceptional property on so many levels. The staff was so gracious and was anxious to meet all of our needs, going above-and-beyond what was required in several instances. We celebrated an anniversary here and they definitely made it a very special occasion! The grounds and the pool area are lovely and relaxing. We had breakfast in the... More

Staff is so friendly that I jokingly told them I wouldn't mind staying there forever. Hotel facilities were good. Location was conveniently. I was very impressed with the level of service provided by the entire workforce, from the manager to the room cleaners.

Of course visiting Siam Reap means visiting the magnificent temple district around Angkor Wat. We wanted to be on the save side (since we collected mediocre to bad experiences all over Asia) concerning a tourguide for us. The way here was a long ride and that close to this unique experience we didnt wanted to be in 2nd best hands.... More

We had a land package booked through AmaWaterways and they use this hotel. I can understand why. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. We were in room 337 and had a nice view of the lagoon and grounds. It has a nice generous balcony. The hotel and grounds are kept meticulously. The staff is very friendly and customer oriented. The... More

What a convenient Hotel location for visiting the Angkor National Museum and the Angkor Wat temple complex, and what a stay for relaxing, being pampered and fed, and enjoying nature's greenery. The Hotel is spread out over a vast area with rooms and suites surrounded by lagoons. Someone told me that some of the lagoons contain fresh fish which can... More

I highly, HIGHLY recommend staying at the Sofitel in Siem Reap. I know the new(ish) Park Hyatt in the center of town scores higher on TA, but for the life of me, I'm not sure why anyone needs to be in the center of this bustling town (dusty and full of shops geared at tourists). The Sofitel is overall still... More

We stayed at this property for 3 days in late January. The grounds are beautiful & the rooms are very spacious. There is a lovely pool area. The staff is always available, very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good. There is so much to do & see in this area, that 3 days was really not enough.

This place is at a great location for visiting the temples and when needing to head into town to eat/drink. The bedrooms are looking a little tired, but the rest of the place still looks good, including the great pool area. The breakfasts are very good, and therefore worth booking the B&B rate. Staff are very helpful when needing to... More

Unfortunately, we can only give 5 stars as there is no option for 6 stars! We loved: 1. exceptional staff and management 2. the pervasive smell of lemon grass everywhere, we will forever associate with heaven 3. lush, beautifully maintained outdoor areas with nooks and crannies for relaxing in 4. comfy, quiet, serene rooms with lovely hardwood floors 5. sensational... I would recommend this to every single single couple on a honeymoon. Right from the onset, the Hotel is beautiful with a fantastic gardens. Rooms were great, clean and very well equipped. the location is perfect. Close to the city centre but not very busy. All these can be found in an excellent hotel but what really makes Sofitel Phokeethra... More
