I visited this hotel as Hotel 89 before it was renamed as Wooden Angkor Hotel. Some friends and I were travelling around South East Asia, and booked this hotel before we left the UK as a starting point for our adventure. The hotel is a mid range hotel (2/3*) but with 5* service. We found the laundry service good price... More

We stayed at Wooden Angkor for 5 nights while visiting Siem Reap and enjoyed every moment here. We stayed at Mad Monkey the night before and checked out in the early morning because it is a such dirty overpriced place. We were looking for a nicer hotel and so happened to walk by Wooden Angkor. We liked it immediately for... More

I booked the wooden Angkor mainly because it was cheap and thought I will out from dawn til dusk so the hotel didn't matter. As you arrive you take your shoes off and leave them outside the reception area, well I don't know but that just made me feel like I was home. The decor is not exactly to my... More

Walking into the Wooden Angkor you remove your shoes and are invited to sit down to a glass of ice water and a moist towel. Perfect after our long bus-ride from Bangkok. Beautifully carved furniture and wall decorations, a stunning wooden floor, a funkily lit neon Buddha, and a concierge so kind and warm you want to hug him makes... More

Lovely little hotel with some real Cambodian feel to it. Located around 10 minutes walking from the town centre. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice rooftop restaurant serving delicious breakfast to order (not the usual buffet). Rooms are adequate. Overall excellent value for money.

This is a charming little hotel with lots of wood panelling and an authentic Cambodian feel. The staff were lovely and the rooms, although fairly basic were spotless and perfectly adequate. The breakfast was served, not buffet, and was very good, and we loved the rooftop restaurant. It is in a good location close to the centre.

A great littler hotel although some reviewers appear to have swallowed a tall tale hook, line, and Anchor. First, this largish three story building is certainly NOT made entirely out of teak. I'm surprised the gullible didn't add "and the oriental welcome mats all fly." The hotel does, however, use a great deal of wood panelling in corridors and particularly... More

We had a terrific time staying at Wooden Angkor hotel. The Tuktuk driver was promptly waiting for us by the bus station. We were offered wet towels and cold water when we arrived at the hotel. Coffee and tea are free! Breakfast has a big serving. Rooms, as well as its bathroom, are spacious and clean. The hotel offers SPA... More
