Just around the corner from Pub Street / Old Market / Siem Reap river, but somehow secluded. Once you take the few steps off the street, through the tiny garden, and into the entrance; you've begun to distance yourself from the sights and sounds of the street. Then, as you remove your shoes and enter the attractive and comfortable foyer,... More

This was the most amazing hotel of our entire backpacking trip through Southeast Asia! You get WAY more than you pay for, the staff is incredibly nice and the hotel itself feels like a luxurious oasis! When you arrive, the sweetest staff in the world will welcome you with a welcome drink! :) They will sit down with you for... More

I spent 6 nights at Villa Medamrei and LOVED every minute of it. Staff is warm and welcoming and always willing/able to assist in any way. Location is great! Very central to a lot of great restaurants, cafes, shops, etc. Was a great value and breakfast was good too. Would recommend a room on the second floor. My first night... More

The location is awesome- so close to pub street. You definitely don't need to get a tuk tuk anywhere but the temples. The staff are all really nice. They helped organized a tour around the temples really cheap and pick up from the door. The room was clean and fairly quiet.

The room we stayed in was ok. It was cleaned well and the beds were comfortable enough. The shower was good as well. The main issue is that the doors weren't sealed to the outside and the corridors. This not only meant that the air con didn't work effectively, but also allowed a gecko and a number of crickets into... More

We have just left this hotel and here are my thoughts: Location: It is a block from Pub St and lots of restaurants, bars etc where it is easy to get a cheap, tasty meals, cocktails, foot massages (us$3 for 30 minutes,) Service: Manager can organise trips to Angkor or to other towns easily. Always pleasant and helpful. Rooms: We... More

The staff made this hotel the best we've ever stayed at - we are telling EVERYONE we meet to stay there. The incredible staff, beautiful rooms, and convenient location made for our best stay in South East Asia. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was the poor wifi connection - personally it helped us to stay off our... More

The room & toilet are NICE since myself very particular on the toilet during vacation. The best thing is hotel have their own... More

My visit to Villa Medamrei did not begin well, which was a little surprising given the generally excellent reviews it enjoys here on TA. However, once those initial issues were eventually resolved, of which there were a number, I could clearly see why such praise has been heaped upon this small hotel. Now, in an effort to save all you... More

The twin room we stayed in has bare cement and wall finishing. Room has no airconditioning, and when we opened the door, some mosquitoes followed us into the room. To the management credit, when we requested for insect repellant, it was readily available.
