The Cashew Nut was the ideal place for us to stay in Siem Reap! As a couple it was $10 a night without air con, low season price. The room was far superior to the price we paid. The bed was huge & very comfy. There's a TV with some English channels, including a movie channel. The bathroom was good,... More

We had a great time in Siem Reap thanks to the Cashew Nut! We flew in to Cambodia from Thailand with no plans, bookings for Angkor Wat etc. The only thing we had was a hotel room in the Cashew Nut. When we came in at around 11 pm, the owner greeted us with cool towels to wash our face... More

Great rooms, clean and spacious. The whole guesthpuse is tastefully done with a relaxing, shaded and airy seating area at the front. Owners and staff are genuinely friendly and have so much information on anything you could ask! Location is a short walk from market and central tourist area. Great value, great staff, great atmosphere, would stay again and again!

We intended to stay 3 nights at The Cashew Nut House but extended for a further 2 nights because we really liked it! Even though it is a budget accomodation you get great service, good location, great service, a nice room and ... great service! The general manager is british so if there are any issues it is really easy... More

Stayed in a basic double room with fans for 10USD a night. Less than 10 min walk from old market. Free pick up from airport. Made it easy to organise "tour" to Angkor. This is just a return tuk tuk ride which is probably just as easy organised on your own. Good budget option, enjoyed our stay there while in... More

I'm glad that you enjoyed your time with us here at the Cashew Nut and I am pleased to see that could have stayed longer. The tuk-tuk tours; yes, you can organise outside by yourself but you then run the risk of any amount of scams that abound such as inflated prices, restaurants chosen by the driver because they take... Overall stay was pleasant and comfortable! I think depending on which room you get, you might have a different impression of your stay. Location 5 mins walk down to the street markets and nightlife. Quite a convenient location, just out of the way from most of the noise and bustle of the main streets Service The owner Steve was very... More

I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay at the Cashew Nut. The triple rooms are currently being upgraded which should address the point you made in your review. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Cambodia. More

Arrived at Siem Reap airport paid the $30 Visa on Arrival fee (VAR) then waited some 10 minutes for it to be processed. This done made way to exit to be greeted but the tuk-tuk driver from Cashew Nut and we made out way some 20-30 minute journey to our place of stay. Cashew New is located near to the... More

I am pleased that you appeared to enjoy your stay with us at Cashew Nut. We state that we are 10 minutes walk from the city centre which is true and correct. Or you can take one of the many tuk-tuks, normally only 2 dollars. Or you can hire one of our bicycles at the rate of 1$ / day.... More

My husband and I stayed at a couple other places in Siem Reap before landing at the Cashew Nut Guesthouse. Though we stayed several nights, I'm sad that I didn't find it sooner! After gawking at the photos and description online, we ended up booking the relatively new addition -- the Penthouse Suite. We got the entire top floor, with... More

Thanks for your review and I am well pleased that you thoroughly enjoyed the penthouse. I understand that the climb up to it could be an issue for some (4 flights of stairs), the Oxford English Dictionary definition of "penthouse" is:- "an expensive apartment or set of rooms at the TOP of a hotel or tall building". Apart from the... More

We are budget travelers and stayed here for two nights. They were full so we took a triple room with three single beds for two of us. We had very little interaction with the staff but they were friendly enough. There was a nice rooftop area we brought some food up to and ate one night. The shower was hot,... More

I requested a quiet room but was given street side on a very busy road. Room was clean. Odd presentation with sweets on towels, no soap supplied but a toothbrush. I didn't find the owner/ managers? welcoming. One of them was quite defensive and unhelpful when asked about poor internet connection in my room. "Nobody else has complained about it".... More

Thank you for your recent stay with us and subsequent review. We are an extremely busy and popular guest house and tend to be fully booked quite quickly. At the time of your booking, we had 1 room remaining which was reserved in your name. The room does not overlook the main road; it looks out onto a large terrace... More
