Great location of this small and wonderful retreat. I arrived around 9 in the evening and was greeted with smiles from all the staff. Located in a quiet street away from tuk tuks and cars. Had a room next to the street and was very quiet. Very close to markets and Pub Street within walking distance ... no more than... More

Looking for a place to eat we stumbled upon the restaurant at this hotel, and were drawn in by the $9 three-course set menu. We weren't expecting much for that money, but the caesar salad, pork chops and icecream crepes were all tasty and beautifully presented; top class cuisine on a budget, nicely served by Veasna.

We absolutely love this place tucked away from the busy streets of Siem Reap. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly! It is a brilliant location close to pub street and night market. We arrived and had no trouble getting around in tuk tuk and love this experience. This boutique hotel is also a stone throw away from Ang Kor Wat... More

Karavansara Retreat is just a short walk from local street markets and Pub Street, with access to lots of restaurants, and only 5-10 mins away from Angkor Wat and Pra Thom by tuk-tuk. It's super accessible, yet tucked away from the traffic and the crowds in a quiet little side lane by the river. The staff are adorably earnest, friendly,... More

Karavansara is an awesome boutique hotel. Staff was super well trained and friendly. Location is awesome, only a short walk from pub street. The rooms were beautifully cleaned and well decorated. Will definitely be back!

We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of January . From the start the staff were helpful and friendly . The hotel itself is well kept and all the rooms are clean, tidy and have almost everything you need. The only thing I feel this hotel was missing was a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the room although... More

It was an environmental decision to not have refrigerators and coffee makers in the rooms as they use a lot of electricity. We need to be careful in Siem Reap and the power comes from far away and we want to reduce our footprint as much as possible. Thank you. More

We wanted to love this place, we really did. And it was good for the most part, but a few things just didn't sit well. Cons: 1. The air con just straight up didn't work. There is a fan in the room, yes, but it didn't cool it down to a comfortable temperature. So if air con is important to... More

We enjoyed our stay at Karanvansara Retreat. The rooms are nicely furnished but not the best choice for people who expect to be in the "silent retreat". The staff, in particular Veasna, Levis & Sakorol, made us feel special and welcome. The food is very good and recommendable, for breakfast we can suggest to make little variations for guests who... It is true that we are right in the center of town and that Asian cities can be a bit louder. Still, it is great to be near the action if that is what you like! More

When we first arrived at Karavan Sara we were warmly greeted and given a krama (a traditional Cambidian scarf) with the name of the hotel imprinted on it. What a gesture to make a first impression! We had chosen the Karavan Sara because of its close proximity to downtown Siem Reap but we receive much more than a great location.... More

1) decent room. 2) LOVELY staff. 3) hotel went above and beyond for their customers offering us to use showers with fresh towels many hours after checkout free of charge. The best experience I have ever received in a hotel.
