This hotel was a great place to stay in Siem Reap. The wood carvings and netted beds are charming. The hotel conveniently offers affordable tours of Angkor Wat via Tuk Tuk. If you're staying longer you can also book tours to some of the more distant ruins. A few bucks gets you into town at Pub Street. On site massages... More

Comfortable/ Neat/ Friendly/ Prompt in service Food should improve to cater to different tourists. Value for money...... 8/10 Will definitely stay here if I visit again. Family room should have been more spacious though and a better air condition. Hope the management improves on these minor short comings so that it will shine brighter and make the entrance brighter too.

My room was nice. 2 really comfy beds and a decent bathroom. However, the air con was really noisy and affected sleep (I was in room 4).The reception were very helpful when needed too. However, i found this hotel a bit pretentious. The hote reception is full of wood carvings and looks like a museum. Moreover, as with my room,... More

For a small and friendly hotel it faired well, the staff were helpful and the room was clean and spacious. Its pretty close to other buildings and is without a pool but it was well located and my tuk tuk driver was ace !! I recommend it.

Me and family went to Bangkok and crossed the border of Cambodia before going to Siem Reap. When we were at the border of Cambodia, my cousin's wife called up the hotel and informed them that we might be coming on an estimated time in the afternoon. They told us that we will be picked up by a free tuktuk... More

How this place got such a high rating on trip advisor, I'll never know. We stayed for two nights and I couldn't wait to leave. Do not be fooled by the photos on the website, they are very misleading . The room was dark and was looking straight into the neighbours house. The curtains need to be kept drawn or... More

We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff, with great english skills. Lovely breakfast and a good selection of dishes on the menu. Room was very clean and water was kept topped up. Hotel itself was a work of art! Although many are against going with organised tours, we fully recommend Shining Angkor's selection. The hotel is very close to... More

As for good things, this hotel has beautiful wood furniture, the room was pretty, guests were limited, the pool was nice, and their restaurant had good food. Now, what lead up to us leaving. Didn't pick us up from the airport as promised, couldn't find our reservation, no working TV, AC took a while to kick in, only had one... More

Went there for a leisure trip after my service trip to Phnom Penh. Firstly, the location is great. It's actually quite accessible to a lot of attractions via their transportation (tuk tuk). Secondly, the staff are really helpful and caring. They can speak English well. Guess what? The receptionist who served me and my friends on the first day of... More

There is nothing "trendy" about Shining Angkor--it has a very formal and elegant look about it. As one other reviewer noted, it is almost like being in a furniture store, with oversized carved seating lined up in all the public areas. That said, our room was spotless and absolutely beautiful, with a lovely balcony and large, inviting wooden-slat chaise (that,... More
