My wife is Chinese and I am Dutch. We live in China and took this organized trip by a Chinese travel agency. I was the only foreigner is an all Chinese travel company. But I don't speak Chinese! 2 other Chinese friends of ours accompanied us. Chinese usually don't speak English at all, only the young or educated do, but... More

It had so many stars on the website. The price looked good, but it turns out it was worth just a bit less than the amount we paid. To start I had a terrible time getting the management to confirm an airport pickup. The website says, "Free round trip transfer to airport or bus station". Eventually after I had some... More

The Smiling Hotel & Spa is one of my favorite hotels. On arrival, I was greeted by the friendly staff with a welcome drink (nice touch). I was upgraded to a larger room (which was delightful and unexpected). I ate in the restaurant several times and the service was impeccable and food delicious and well priced. Breakfast was plentiful and... More

The reception area is medium in size with no air-con. The receptionists are very welcoming and helpful. The room is very very huge for a standard room, the size is as big as the suite in some hotel. The room equips with 2 queen-sized beds and they can arrange a third bed if you ask them to. The room also... More

Stayed in Smiling Hotel in Siem Reap as part of a company incentive trip. It’s a 4Star/3Star hotel that seems to cater mainly for tour groups, as much as I can tell from the time I stayed. The hotel itself isn’t located on the main stretch where most of the resorts are located, so you will need to take public... More

I spend only a night in this hotel during the summer season. The hotel provides standard facilities; however, they are filed to keep the room clean, especially the bathroom. It take a while for the air con to cool the room. Power supply shorted a few times during that night. It is said that this is normal for the city. Over... More

We stayed in the suite which was huge but there were 2 single beds & the spa bath didn't work. There was also very low water pressure & no hot water at night time. The staff are smiley but English is very very poor which was very frustrating when we were trying to get basic information for buses, tours, etc.... More

We went with a tour group so naturally the hotel was full of Chinese and Koreans (we hail from Taiwan). Breakfast was very full and crowded, with only the basics: noodle soup, egg, bread, mini croissants, fruits and simple salad, stir fried noodles fried rice, chicken sausage and steamed vegetables. The lobby was the only place with wifi as we... More
