A very pleasant stay. The staff were very welcoming. Rooms spacous and clean. Toiletries and hairdryer supplied. Breakfast was prompt and very enjoyable with a good selection of continental, American or Cambodia. Can mix and match. Pool was sparkling clean. All meals were very resonably priced for lunch and dinner. Loved the battered shrimp.

We are a family of 5 and we had a great 3 nights. What a great welcoming reception Mr Huk and staff did a great job in assisting us organising a tuk tuk for around the town, an airconditioned van for our guided tour of the temples in the area. The breakfast was great the service was fantastic. It was... More

Fantastic little boutique resort with a tropical garden and large pool just a stones throw from the centre of the city but far enough to be a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Room was large and airy with a private terrace to sit on and enjoy a few G&T's after a day at the temples, or enjoy a meal... More

We had a good experience at the Sonalong, where we spent three nights at the while exploring Siem Reap. The rooms--villas, actually-- are clean, large and have balconies. The hotel is an easy walk to the restaurants and pubs, but is itself secluded and quiet. The staff is very polite and helpful, but service can be slow and forgetful at... More

We stayed in the Sonalong for three days while exploring Angkor Wat in January 2016. Th rooms were clean and well maintained with a nice fan-cooled porch, the staff was friendly and accomodating. The pool is actually large enough that one can really swim and the food good. Just make sure that if you like your food the Asian way... More

The Sonalong resort in Siem Reap offers low-to-medium cost accommodation in rooms that are quite vintage, on a small property surrounding a lovely pool and dining area. The staff are well-intentioned and eager to help, but the physical property is a little tired and the kitchen has a ways to go before people can be excited to eat the "breakfast included"... More

Sonalong Boutique Village and Resort My wife and I stayed at Sonalong over Xmas 2015. We had a wonderful time. It was within easy walking distance to the markets, restaurants and Pub Street. We found the rooms large, tidy and comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired but everything worked well. We enjoyed our breakfasts around the pool in the... More

We stayed at Sonalong for 4 nights in a "family suite". This was comprised of two adjoining rooms, each with its own bathroom. It was ideal for out family of four (two teenagers). Rooms were clean and spacious. In house restaurant was good, and reasonably priced. Pool and garden area were great for relaxing in afternoons, after mornings spent exploring... More

Great pool, lush garden and fairly handy location - a small walk or easy tuk tuk ride into the old town. Perfect for a family visit, with the staff agreeable and keen to help. The 'Artillery' cafe nearby is fantastic, and we walked most of our time there - so don't worry about this not being on the river or... More

Chose Sonalong on Tripadvisor reviews and are very pleased with our choice. Stayed at Sonalong for 3 nights following 8 nights at 5 star Naman Retreat in Vietnam. It doesn't pretend to be 5 star but I must say we enjoyed both places equally and the service certainly is 5 star. The layout at Sonalong is excellent with the 1... More
