My father and I stumbled upon the Canciller after spending a night at the awful Hotel Viru Viru, a place in which you got electric shocks from the shower. I went to this hotel and made a reservation for a couple days later after going to Copacabana. When I came back they couldn't find the reservation and the rate went from $35/night to over $50/night. Ended up staying at Hotel Lido right around the corner without any reservation $35 / night with breakfast. Therefore I wouldn't recommend this hotel. More
