I stayed 3 nights at the Gran Hotel Cochabamba as part of a business trip to Latin America. I asked for a quiet room and a high floor so even though there were only two floors, I was rather disappointed to be shown to a ground floor room. Rooms are arranged around a courtyard and in principle I was on... More

A very quiet retreat from the city. This hotel became our home for 2weeks recently and we found it an absolute joy. The staff are friendly, the breakfast offered an extensive choice and the whole stay was excellent. The location is very convenient for some really good restaurants and the pool and bar were much used.

I traveled to Cochabamba to accompany 20 other volunteers and build a house in the city of Quillacollo. The local organization that made the trip we stayed in this beautiful hotel for a very good price. Breakfast is included and consists of a buffet with delicious and fresh fruits, breads and pastries, plus eggs cooked to order. The hotel is... More

I stay at this hotel three to four timrs a year while on business. Great location, close to several good restaurants, and just a few minutes by taxy to the city s main square. It takes about 15 minutes to and from the airport. Renewed facilities, huge comfortable rooms.

According to the front plaque this is an early 1800s building although renovations are apparent throughout the hotel - especially in the back end - past the atrium, which is what THIS reviews entails. Having pre-booked and traveling with 6 luggages, the hotel did not have a cab/bus available to pick us up at the airport. No special treatment for... More

I was assigned a room in the last block of the hotel, the block has a stair made of metal, which is totally annoying, every time someone passed those stairs I felt like they were hitting at the wall. So incredible annoying. I could also ear the foot steps at the floor upon my room, and felt like everybody was... More

This hotel is my first choice when I come to town. It is not a five-star hotel by North American standards, yet is quite comfortable serves good breakfasts and is well located. The hotel is much larger that when it looks from outside. Try not to get the rooms that are far away, otherwise you will have to do quite... More

I used to stay at the Diplomat, but this hotel is much better. Ample rooms, good breakfast, reasonable location, and it has been recently refurbished. Beware the hotel puts lots of toiletry in your bathroom: shaving cream, etc., but if you use it, they'll charge you for it! There is no warning sign whatsoever, just a little price tag behind... If its your first in Bolivia, especially Cochabamba, this is the right choice. The hotel is well located and despite the front desk and entrance you will see a great surprise. Hotel room are 4 star and provides some amenities as expected. The only remark is the breakfast that is reasonable and should be improve. The tip is to book... More

This is a nice, maybe the best hotel for visiting Cochabamba. Convenient, nearby nice restaurants, beautiful layout, next to a beautiful church. They were constructing a new wing(s) and re-doing the pool and their lack of a gym scored them down, but otherwise the beds and rooms were nice, the wifi worked adequately, breakfast (included) was nice and fresh and...
