My wife and I spent a week in this charming hotel where owner Jose Jordan and his staff made us feel very welcome. Located in a quiet street only a few kilometers from Cochabamba's hectic downtown, the Aranjuez has the feel of a country house: with several delightful and peaceful garden areas and a new swimming pool. Spacious room (with a dressing !). Gardens and terraces. Pleasant and comfortable. Good restaurant. No more no less. Few water pressure in the shower. more

Cochabamba is not a major tourist site, and not a major business center though there is increasing interest in the oil and gas sectors here. Further, Bolivia is Latin America's poorest country. This context is important when considering the quality of hotels in Cochabamba. Since Cochabamba is not a world class city, hotels here do not have world class standards.... more
