This is a great value for money hotel! Amazing location by the waterside where you can watch fisherman at work in the morning. Extremely helpful and kind staff and fantastic food, especially Sunday night buffet dinner. If you get a room with a damp smell just asked to be moved to another room. Never saw damp but smelt it strongly... More

I REALLY LOVED THEIR OUTDOOR Just wish they could deal with the mosquitoes before visitors are given keys and provide enough variety for breakfast Every other things was nice, they've got one of the best outdoor experience it would also help if they could change some of their old equipment

Hotel location is reasonable, just on the other side of the lagoon in Cotonou city centre. Staff is friendly but not really helpful. They could not point me to the overland coach station nor arrange transport to it once I found out myself where it is. The equipment in the room was so old that I had to spend some... More

Great location by the bridge near the mouth of the river in central Cotonou. Rooms are clean, with fairly decent amenities, including decent wifi that will support Skype calls (most of the time); facilities include a large pool with lounging area, and a restaurant situated on a beautiful terrace overlooking the city. Food is fine, though uninspired - best deal... More

This is my favourite hotel in Cotonou. The location is wonderful, no mosquitos because you’re near the cost. They have a beautiful terrace with a view and comfortable lounge chairs (partly). The restaurant is good, splendid Lebanese dishes. But what makes this hotel stand out is the staff. Most of them have been working here for years (which is a... More

I've stayed in Hôtel du Lac, in Cotonou, for one week to do some work in Cotonou. It is a great location, nice refreshing wind outside; clean, well maintained, large rooms; working WiFi in the whole building and almost no power cuts! The staff is friendly and helpful and most of them can speak English, it was even possible to... More

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. We loved the authenticity of the hotel, which on a personal note is quite rare in Africa these days where everything is built by the Chinese following exactly the same model. The staff is very friendly, happy to answer your questions and provide tips (book the trip to Ganvié village, departure from... More

The hotel is situated just next to the river and there is a nice wiev from the terrace. The terrace also has a cousy lounge area. The libanese food served on the terrace is excellent (try the humus with minced meat). There is a nice pool too. Generally the staff is freindly and helpful. The biggest setback in the hotel... Stayed here for one night and the following afternoon (for which we payed half of the rate which is fair) before flying back. Prositive: + The room (108), towards the pool, was very clean with a pleasant interior design. Not the run down impression you have in many hotels in west-africa + Minibar and safe provided. Electronic door lock +... More
