We have been here several times, once when the current owners had just purchased it. They went out of their way to make us comfortable then. This year we returned to many renovations making it the cleanest place we have been in. They have maintained the history and charm of this old building. We call Augusta the last frontier for... I used to live here in Augusta Mt there is 368 people with 4 bars, A grocery store, A Gas Station, And 2 Motels the Bunkhouse Inn and the Wagons West Motel. It's a awesome place to visit and live, also the school has awesome staff and great kids. And I heard they are making a movie down in Augusta... More

This was a nice stay for two nights before dropping off our daughter at the Montana Wilderness School of the Bible 23 miles away. Lovely quaint hotel oozing with character. Rooms are so nice, bare bones but all you need for a quick stop and sleep. We stayed in the one room with 2 double beds. This was probably our... More

This is a no frills (none needed) sample of off the beaten path Montana. Rooms are not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Rates are more than reasonable, and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. Good food with great prices available at at least two locations right across the street. I recommend the two egg platters at... More

I needed something between Bozeman and Glacier National Park and the Bunkhouse Inn was a great find. My room was great, the bathroom was spotless, and location was convenient. There was a small diner across the street and 2 bar/restaurants within walking distance. I bought a few nice things at the gift shop right next door to the Inn. It... More

The Bunkhouse Inn is an integral part of heading into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The old building -- relocated from a nearby town many years ago -- recalls Montana frontier life and is in the heart of tiny Augusta. Walk to every bar and restaurant in town, and to the General Store -- "if we don't have it, you don't... More

This is not Augusta, GA, this is definitely Augusta, MONTANA! Maybe 300 people, 3 bars, and one gas station and a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains! The rooms are efficient, all you need, clean and the decor takes you back in time. For a very old hotel with two spotless "share bathrooms" at a very reasonable price, this place... More

As the previous reviewer noted, there are 11 rooms, all on the second floor with two shared bathrooms. No locks on any of the doors. This would be unusual unless you realize your in Augusta, MT, population 1200 or so. Three bars, a gas station and two general stores. If you want to experience the real Montana, spend some time... What a great Inn. The proprietors were a very nice couple. I went with my bf and we had room #1 for three nights ( a whopping $48.nt-ha!). Overlooked the town, direct access to a huge porch on the second floor. There are, I believe, 11 rooms in the inn. There are two shared bathrooms. Honestly, this kind of freaked... More
