Our hosts were gracious, and the house was a wonder. Everywhere we turned there was a special detail to look at showing the history of the house. The garden was a real pleasure, and the hot tub was especially appreciated after a long day of cycling. Alan's breakfast was a gourmet delight, which we lingered over in friendly conversation with... The feeling of this B&B was like staying in a Museum, with ample collections to examine from the Victorian era. The food was excellent, with everything presented so beautifully. If one is tired from cycling the Katy Trail, there is a hot tub to soak away sore muscles. The only challenge that might present is that the stairway to the... More

We came for our 6th year anniversary. This should be the number 1 B&B in Augusta. The entire experience was wonderful, so much to do, tons of sitting areas and fire pits all over outside, great hot tub, pool, gardens and fountains, and the hosts treat you like their own children and sit and talk with you after breakfast which... Leigh and Allen are wonderful hosts! Allen, the chef, makes a wonderful 3 course gourmet breakfast and Leigh helps to serve it. We stayed at the cottage access the street and it was beautiful and cozy with a king bed and 2 fireplaces. The B&B was across the quiet street where we had our breakfasts. It was quiet, relaxing and... More

Wonderful location! Very close to the brewery. Nice property with pool and hot tub. The entire house is decorated with very unique antiques and the owner Leigh is very friendly. We left a couple items and Leigh was nice enough to ship them.

My husband and I recently got away for an evening to Augusta. We were excited to find this b&b with such great reviews! It is so unique - you have to go! The owners (Christina and Allen) were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was delicious! And the house itself has so much character. We ate dinner at Chandler Hill Winery and treated... More

My wife and recently spent a Sunday evening here. We were met by Leigh and given a tour of the property. First thing you should know is there is a lot of stuff, trinkets, etc. Kind of what you think of when you think B&B. We found it fun and interesting with some great history. We stayed in the Turet... My husband and I have traveled to Augusta a few times for our anniversary. Our hosts were wonderful, with excellent food/beverage! Breakfast was a delight, and the afternoon cocktail was lovely. The evening appetizers were nothing inventive, so I would not suggest making a special trip back in time for this. I couldn't wait to leave, however, simply because of... More

We stayed for one night on May 30th. The home itself is a unique collection of antiques that cover every inch of the inside. There is literally stuff to look at everywhere. We appreciated the hot tub, and had the weather been warmer the pool would have been a nice addition as well. The room we stayed in (original master... More

My wife and I visit the H.S. Clay house every year for our anniversary. In addition to the beautiful home and superb service this year we were greeted by a 12 foot tall pumpkin in the front yard created by local artisans out of loose branches. There was a contained fire pit (safety first!) inside with cushy lawn furniture inside... More
