My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights in July of 2014 and we enjoyed it so much! The actual location of the hotel is great as it's about a minute walk from the car park and about 2 minutes walking from the main area of Wolfgang. There are also various different restaurants within a 1-5 minute walk throughout... More

We had a basic, street view room. It was a lovely room but not as good as if you paid more for a lake view. The breakfast room had a lake view and breakfast was delicious. The décor is very bright and artwork very abstract, don't expect a traditional hotel !!!

It is our second time at the Cortisen and we absolutely love it. Last year was brilliant, this year was amazing! You truly feel like you are coming from home to home. So welcoming and just all around lovely. Thank you Roland and Team for an unforgettable holiday! Shame we have to leave tomorrow but we will be back soon.... More

An ideal picturesque setting set the standard for Christmas this year which continued throughout this wonderful hotel. The owner's attention to detail is obvious throughout and nothing is too much trouble for the excellent staff. We were delighted with the superb service and, as I mentioned the fantastic decor and atmosphere in this wonderful boutique hotel. We can't wait to... More

This hotel is great for couples!!!! It is by the lake, with it's own private "garden beach", the decor is really interesting, as you can see the owners put a lot of efforts in putting personal details, in a very tasteful way, and the service was really good. The food at this place was exceptional, and I recommend to dine... More

The owners obviously want this hotel to be considered 'cool and trendy' and if you like clashing colours and a mish mash of styles then you will enjoy this hotel. The exterior of the hotel is bright lime green and hot pink and these colours are repeated inside as well. Close to reception is a room featuring purple and dark... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in September 2014 and found it a really great place to stay. The hotel is in a fabulous location and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. One of the staff was an English girl working during the summer months to assist with her German Degree studies and she even loaned us her book... More

We chose this hotel for its setting and as a couple of nights of luxury at the end of a fortnight's holiday in Austria. And it was a delightful experience. Although in the centre of Sankt Wolfgang, which in summer is full of the hustle and bustle of tourists, the hotel itself is quiet and serene. Styling wise, it offers... More

Hotel Cortisen is a lovely quaint family run hotel. Mr Rolland Ballner is a lovely gentleman who has renovated and refurbished this hotel in the last few years. I went with a travelling companion who has stayed there over the last 15 years on numerous occasions and he remarked that lots of things have changed for the better. I loved... More

You can see from my reviews that I only tend to review outstanding hotels/experiences...the Hotel Cortisen is truly a stylish, tasteful, unique, one-of-a-kind hotel in the idyllic village of St. Wolfgang. Where do I start? We had the Black Suite on the 2nd floor, an exquisitely decorated room where you felt that the owner, Roland Ballner, had considered every detail... More
