We spent 2 night in February in this hotel. Room was perfect, clean and warm. Parkplace - big. We did not use the ayurveda oase. Breakfast - good buffet, dinner - always meat, always fish, always very good. St.Wolfgang in February is a very quiet place, sutiable for winter walking and - if sun comes - very scenic. Only few... We stayed here over the Christmas holiday period. Located a short distance from the Schafber Cog Railway (closed in winter) and about a 10 minute pleasant walk into the town centre which is an absolute delight to explore. First class bedroom and bathroom, very hot and we managed to reduce the heat! Large bedroom with a very comfortable bed, adequate... More

A charming hotel with friendly staff. Well appointed room with balcony looking towards the lake. Room was clean and spacious. Good choice of meals all well cooked and very well presented. Excellent choice of desserts. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. On one occasion local dancers performed in the restaurant adding to the atmosphere and making it... More

Me and my wife had a very nice holiday at Wolfgangsee. Salzkammergut, Austria. We stayed at Forsterhof hotel in Reid-St. Wolfgang for one full week. The hotel, that is family owned, is locate at walking distance from all attractions in St. Wolfgang. The package included the excellent buffet-breakfast served in the hotel dining room. The room we got was at... More

This was our first visit to Austria and so also this hotel. The room was clean and continued to be for the week we were there. The bed very comfortable and all the staff had a friendly attitude. Outside the hotel was a pleasant lawn area with seats and tables. Comments made on previous reviews about the bar being closed... More

This is a bit out-of-the-way but since St. Wolfgang is a small town it's easy to walk from here to the city center. The hotel had a nice buffet dinner for our group and a good breakfast the next morning. There are places to sit in the lobby for a drink but the bar and reception close up fairly early.... More

Without doubt, the very best hotel in our Austria trip. Excellent rooms, unmatchable view and the curling track where people get together right next to the hotel makes it just unforgettable. The idyllic location, with the beautiful round bed in the superior room and a view to boot makes it our top rated hotel. The breakfast was excellent, as was... More

We stayed here for just under a week in March 14. The hotel was very clean, the room excellent & the staff helpful. Our room (with a balcony) overlooked the road at the front which had very little traffic and had great views across to the mountains. The Schaffberg railway is only a 5 minute walk away, although it doesn't... More

We stayed for a week in August 2013 as 2nd part of twin centre holiday to Austria. Previous reviews suggested the hotel had gone through a rocky period but we are pleased to report that the hotel Foersterhof is comfortable with very helpful staff and great selection of food & drink. For the evening meal, in addition to salad and... More

My wife and I have just returned from the hotel Foersterhof having spent 7 days there. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of St Wolfgang, 10/15 minutes walk from the town centre. However from the hotel you can start lots of walks from easy and mostly flat to difficult (top of the Schaffberg mountain). The hotel is fine and... More
