My boyfriend treated me to a night here for my birthday... We had dinner and the food was absolutely fantastic.. Breakfast was also brilliant. Staff are very attentive and very very helpful. Always smiling.. Spa was fantastic one of the best massages I've ever had. One thing lets this hotel down and it's simply cosmetic... Our room was very much... More

Me and my wife spent the weekend at the hotel. The Dunhill championship was being played here which was one of the reasons I booked and having the pool and spa meant it kept my wife happy. The room was spacious with a comfy bed with very clean bathroom and the usual facilities you'd expect from a hotel like this,... More

We stayed here for a two night break, and it was excellent from start to finish. Sorry to see other reviewers not so happy. This is the fourth time we have stayed here. Our room was 115 and w as excellent for watching gofers tee of and finish on the 18th green. Food as very good, no complaints at all,... More

I stayed at this hotel as a birthday treat and was very pleased with my choice it is a gorgeous hotel right next to the water on the coast. The check in process was a bit delayed due to some errors made by the hotel but was sorted eventually. The room was a junior suite and it was fantastic, well... More

Have just had an overnight as part of a family wedding, the wedding arrangements were good, the food and service very well coordinated, drink prices were what you would expect, however, the hotel is now looking very tired. Our room was poorly lit and the furniture was more 1915 than 2015, the bathroom was showing signs of being well past... More

I was booked into this hotel for a business trip to the area. Having stayed in it many years ago I anticipated that perhaps it had gone 'downhill' a little (based on a couple of reviews I had read). I was pleased to find that by and large the hotel maintains a reasonable standard throughout although the dinner menu was... More

We returned to this hotel after a few years and found it to be run-down, shabby and dull. Paintwork was peeling, furniture dated and the restaurant was in need of a make-over. Our evening meal was okay but very small portions, my liquor coffee came in a cup! Breakfast was a shambles, large queues, staff were unorganised with one waiter... More

Just returned from a lovely weekend with family at The Carnoustie Golf Hotel. Excellent value for money. Clean and comfortable. The hotel is complimented by the very best staff - they were entirely attentive to our needs. Breakfast was lovely too. We will certainly return in the future.

We spent four nights bed and breakfast at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel - not for golfing - just a short break. The hotel was in a good location. Beautiful walks along the coastal path and easy access into nearby Brought Ferry and Arbroath. We did find a couple of really good restaurants in Carnoustie then traveled into Dundee for one... We are just back from a wonderful family reunion weekend in Carnoustie. We spent more than we intended staying at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel. Room on the second floor overlooking the golf course was comfortable and clean but like the rest of the hotel in serious need of major investment. Couldn't believe it when I came across a round pinned... More
