I rate this motel as five star of its type, ie strictly economy. No pool, no bar, no hair dryer, no extras beyond microwave, fridge, TV, and free WIFI. What you get is a rate lower than Motel 6, spotlessly clean, and a very comfortable bed. New owners are continuing a tradition of friendly service as well.

I reserved a room at the Skyline based upon what others had written and, while the room was clean, next time I will spend the additional money (about $30) for hair dryers, a TV that comes in clearly, soft towels, and their "free" continental breakfast. I was disappointed and will not go back.

We get to Alexandria every year and stay here - low cost, we can park in front of our room and it's clean and neat. We stayed in #10 (of 12) and it had new a hardwood laminate floor, new tile floor in the bathroom and new tile all around the bathroom - including a stone counter and new sink.... More

This is not a fancy place, but if you're looking for something cheap and clean, this will work just fine. Friendly staff, comfortable beds and a quiet area. The motel is a bit dated, but that's just fine with me.

This place is where you go to sleep & shower & thats about it. Its pet friendly which is a plus. Super cheap & easy to find. You may want to bring your own towels bc the ones provided are very small & thin. Free wifi is a plus. Bigger bed would of been nice. Has micro wave. Cheap, clean,... More

Stayed one night in Sept 2014, very nice and clean room, I liked that there was laminate flooring rather than carpet. Room also has a small fridge and microwave, no coffee pot though. The bed was comfortable and nice feather pillows. We were on the motorcycle so it is nice to park the bike right outside the door!! Good location... More

You can step back into time by staying at the Skyline Motel, just a few blocks outside the center of town. From parking right outside your room, to the vintage '50's tiles in the bathroom, just the necessities are available for your overnight stay: small room with reasonably comfortable bed; a chair, table, and small television complete the scene. Internet... More

The Skyline is what budget travelers are looking for - inexpensive lodging that's clean and convenient. The Skyline is off the highway a bit and so it's very quiet. It's the old in-line type of motel so you park right in front of your room. Rooms are dated, but large and clean. The bath is tight with some nice retro... More

Spent a night here after seeing good reviews here on Trip Advisor. After being on the road for three weeks and staying in a lot of chain hotels this place was a welcome reprieve. It's the kind of motel that takes one back in time, letting the mind and soul relax from the busy pace of these days. Everything was... More

Wish we could have found a place this clean (even the windowsills), quiet, and convenient on the rest of our 6 week trip heading west! The owners were very nice and helpful for directions to local attractions.
