I have visited Aitkin a few times now and normally stay at the motel in town. Recently I decided to stay at the 40 Club Inn and was pleasantly surprised. The staff are delightful, the pool and breakfast area are very nice, and the bar/restaurant next door is great! They offer a business discount which, in the off season, makes... More

When I first tried to check in there was nobody at the front desk. I waited for about 5 minutes before somebody helped me. Then when I went to my room, I noticed that several places were not cleaned properly. When I decided to go and relax in the hot tube, the hot tube was not even hot, it was... More

The hotel has improved since taken over by new ownership over a year ago. It is best place to stay in the area and convenient for our family visit. Nice that they have a pool even though we didn't use it. Nice bright lobby and continental breakfast area.

The rooms and common areas (lobby and pool area) were clean for the most part. While our room was non-smoking, you could tell that it had been smoked in at one point or another. You will often be able to hear people walking in the rooms above you. The screen window in our room was broken. The staff were helpful... More

The room we stayed in was clean, had a microwave, refrigerator , comfortable beds and a pool and continental breakfast. Not a kings palace but a nice place to sleep for a couple nights while attending an event in the area. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

We found bugs in both of our beds which we recognized as bed bugs. Spoke to the man on duty at the front desk. He tried to convince us it was a tick. He said the manager would call us since we were checking out then. No one called. The bathroom was not cleaned during our 3 day stay. Clean... More

Had a great chicken wrap, my sister had amazing onion rings with her Philly - both sandwiches were big!!! The place is clean, well lite and big! Could certainty accommodate a large group - reunions? Weddings? Right off the main drag!!

Had the shrimp & rice pilaf with salad bar. The shrimp were nicely sauteed and not overdone. The pilaf was very tasty. Salad bar was O.K. Soup was vegetable. We also had good drinks from the bar. Servers all work together, are friendly and attentive.

We have beenllvisiting many places to eat in the area over the past few years and this is by far one of the best. They have the best burgers. They are juicy, not frozen and made how you want it. Their broasted chicken is to die for (although a little salty) great vegetable beef soup and an excellent. The staff... More

It's a decent hotel, attached to a bar/restaurant, located in a great little town. It could use new linens and bedding (no one uses bedspreads anymore). The beds were small but really comfortable and the lobby was very nice.
