Stayed in the motel portion of this place. It was clean, except for the dog hair (I hope) on the recliner in my room. Looked like a "lodge" but walls are paper thin. Bed was not the best. Thankful that my "neighbors" were senior citizens... After their game of Yahtzee which I could clearly hear every roll of the dice... More

This is our second stay at this place since we spent our honeymoon there 40 years ago. We stayed in one of the extended stay rooms. It was nice. While under the new owner seems like it is taking them a while to figure stuff out. Like emptying the trash cans and such. I will be staying there again in... More

We stayed here when my husband had to travel here for an evening meeting. I didn't know what to expect when I located this motel using my Garmin GPS, but my expectations were not high. I was pleasantly surprised to discover just how nice it was. When you ask for a non smoking room in most motels, you can still... More

August 2014 was our second visit to the Ripple River Motel. Our room on the second floor (outdoor stairs only) was quiet and comfortable. The plantings are very attractive and well maintained, and the location really is right on the Ripple River, a pretty spot..Everything worked. About the only complaint we had was that the new "green" lightbulbs in the... More

Stayed here as part of our Big 2014 Road Trip. Exterior looked very inviting, and the rooms even more so. Very friendly and accommodating staff. On-site pizza and ice cream were very good. Not a low-cost place, but not horrifyingly expensive, either. And they're supporter of long-distance bicycle touring as well.

This motel is a surprise!..Things in Northern Minnesota can be quite rough at times and when it is pouring rain and the mosquitoes are out in vengence, finding this motel is heaven sent. It is newly renovated and has beautiful decor. New carpeting, cozy stove, and furnished in a real homey way. I wish I had reason to be in... More

We stayed at the Ripple River Motel for the second time in July, 2013. This motel is a definite "mom & pop" place and not a chain. The owners live on-site and do a great job of caring for their guests and the motel. They are very nice and go out of their way to be accommodating. Both times we... More

Stayed here on my way to N.D. it was very clean & spacious. We got the king jacuzzi room. The room decor is nice and inviting, room had a mini fridge & microwave which was nice with my toddlers milk & snacks. It makes for a great stop on your travels through Minnesota.

This is our third stay and this time we "splurged" on the king size/jacuzzi suite. Taking a jacuzzi bath while my husband napped on the bed, after a long day at the lake was quite the interesting and relaxing experience. The owners are nice, the place is so clean and the complimentary continental breakfast is just a nice bonus. The... More

My husband I wanted to get away for a couple of days for our anniversary. We had driven by this motel many times, and always talked about what an inviting place it looked to stay. I am not the type that needs fancy things, but I DO need the place to be clean. This is it! My husband wanted a... More
