Nice clean rooms..but no bathroom fans which is ridiculous for a three story hotel. We recieved a call at midnight while we were asleep, because the front desk person was trying to get his papers in order, didnt comunicate with the desk person prior to his shift, about us being moved to another room and was asking if we were... more

I am a business traveler, spending 3 out of every 4 weeks each month in another state and hotel. I choose Fairfield Inn Auburn Hills as it was within 5 miles of my company's Michigan office. How terribly disappointed I was. The person at the front desk did not get the memo about excellent customer service; the property was old,... more

Hotel is hard to find, better off looking to turn at the Wendy's than trying to find the Fairfield sign. Even the GPS was lost. Once arrived at the location, discovered hotel room doors were outside facing parking lot. Bathroom toilets, more than handled our requests for the night. If you have stomach problems, you will have no worries. Free... more

We stayed one night. The room was standard and the bed was comfortable. The wireless internet was great. The handle on the toilet broke off at midnight, so we had to open the tank and manual flush the rest of the time we were there. The 'hot'' breakfast was so-so. We told them about the toilet and didn't even receive... more

Hard to find off highway due to poor signage---friendly and efficient check-in---really tiny room---comfortable bed---groundfloor room(147) with damaged weatherstripping on door likely led to unexpected friends overnight---I killed 4 crawling insects and 1 spider on the tiled bathroom floor---perhaps there were more in the carpet---excellent breakfast. more

Standard Fairfield Inn with doors that open to parking spaces - its not an enclosed hotel. It is convenient if you lugging around boxes and cases which I did for this stay. Great wireless internet system and good cable television selection. Rate for one night was $99.77 (06/27/06) which isn't bad. Very close to offices and GM facilities. Right next... more

We stayed here for 1 night in June 2006 It's a clean, basic hotel. We were going to be out of the room all evening and I didn't want to spend too much on a room we were only going to be in to sleep so this was fine. The previous write up is correct about the noise issue -... more

Stayed there 2 nights for a sporting event- and never again! I guess I should have read the fine print- yes, there is a pool- it is outside. No good in April. All outside corridors. And there is no soundproofing. I was woken up both days around 3am by the people in the next room having a loud, but not... more
