I stayed here with my cousin and her 10month old daugther for 1night so we could do some shopping( we live in Canada). I'm familar with Ann Arbor as I used to live here, so I knew the location would be excellent. Its right across the street from the briarwood mall and down the street from a Brand New Whole... more

I stayed one night. The room was spacious and clean. Complimentary tea and microwave popcorn was a nice touch. Couldn't figure out how to keep the drain up in the tub :( Hot water tank only allows for 15 minute showers every 1/2 hour, not great for more than 2 people, but causes you to plan! GREAT hot breakfast, oatmeal,... more

I read the other comments here and just had to update them. The suites were just renovated I would say in the last few weeks. They have great colors, comfy beds, intersting decor. The space was really comfortable and the staff was amazing! With free breakfast, dinner, parking, internet ... this place is the best value around! more

My husband, two daughters and I stayed at the Residence Inn for three nights in June of 2008. Overall, the hotel met (but did not exceed) our expectations. Pros: - Convenient location (near Briarwood Mall) - Large room with full kitchenette and sofa bed - Recycling bins in lobby Cons: - Boring decor - Lack of parking - Pool under... more

We spent the night here on July 10, 2008 and what a disappointment this hotel was. On the surface it looked great - the location was good and the exterior attractive. Check in was easy and the counter person very friendly. We've stayed in Residence Inns many times over the years and so I was expecting it to be just... more

My boyfriend and I, My mom, my brother and his family and an aunt were in Ann Arbor this past weekend for a family event and we booked rooms at this property. We had two, two-bedroom suites and one studio. The photos on the hotel web site showed remodeled rooms. Well, not the two-bedroom suites! The studio had been redone,... more

The staff at the Residence Inn is very accommodating, letting us check in early on graduation weekend. This is a good choice of property for families seeking both room and breakfast at a reasonable price, as long as it is not on graduation weekend or big game weekend, when they apparently double thier prices. The beds were very comfortable and... more

We stayed in a two bedroom suite with our teenaged son while visiting the University of Michigan. Our room was really spacious for the price--two king sized bedrooms, two full baths, a living room with gas fireplace and a decent sized kitchen that included cookware. Our room was on the third floor of the three-story wing and was quiet. Free... more

Cons: Furniture looks tired; mattress was uncomfortable; coffee maker was falling apart; non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. Pros: Pool and spa are in nice condition; desk clerks are very helpful; the free breakfast is very generous and perfect for families with diverse tastes; the building setup means that only one wall per unit is shared, so it's pretty quiet.
