Had the best experience here. The people are lovely and very friendly. The dogs just gorgeous too. My room was clean & comfortable. The bathroom is spotless with absolutely everything I could need. The house had so many beautiful & interesting pieces from all over the world. The kitchen is the heart of this home; there was tea and cookies... more

Comfy, cozy, friendly and unintrusive, Sarah makes everyone feel right at home. We walked in with a box of trip gifts dfor friends and the first thiong she said was "do you need me to mail those to you?" She makes you feel so comfortable you would feel ok letting her do it for you (we managed to pack it... more

Sarah provided dinner recommendations, interesting conversation, tasty breakfast, and of course the opportunity to hang out with the big-heart dogs. We even got to take a walk together. The bed is oh-so comfy and there's a bathtub in the room where I stayed that I'd pack in my suitcase after I'd found a way to sneak out the sweetie-pie pooches.... more

We stayed at the Burnt Toast Inn while visiting our daughter and her boyfriend at the University of Michigan. The inn was beautifully decorated, very clean, and comfortable. We made good use of the WI-FI and enjoyed breakfast every morning. It's very close to Main Street, Ann Arbor, and about a half mile from the campus. For us, the best... more

Very centrally located for our purposes to attend the wonderful Ann Arbor Art Fair. Sarah went out of her way to accommodate our short-notice request. Great hostess and enjoyed her dogs too. Informal setting, great breakfast and we really liked our morning visit by the local cardinals feasting in her yard. Have no hesitation to recommend to others. more

We were attending a conference in the local area and every day we had cause to congratulate ourselves for choosing to stay at the Burnt Toast Inn rather than a soulless business hotel. Sarah was a very warm and open host who answered all our questions, prepared fantastic breakfasts (with variation every day), and really welcomed us into her tastefully... more

This was my fourth stay at the Burnt Toast Inn, but my first stay at the Washington House. I was in the yard for a Wedding in May, and so I was thrilled when a business trip brought me back to Ann Arbor and gave me the opportunity to stay at the Washington House. Sarah the owner was warm and... more

Beautiful bathrooms, an extraordinarily friendly and helpful owner, and just a lovely way to spend an evening and morning. I had never stayed here but often walked by and remembered how charming the house looked when I lived in Ann Arbor. A great stay. Breakfast was definitely different from your standard "continental" fare--fruit, fresh farm cheese, fresh eggs, and great... more

The Washington House has the most beautiful back yard; just perfect for a wedding or any other celebration. The outsided beckons you come and relax. Inside the house, you will enjoy the comfortable seating area and dining area. The bathrooms are updated and very nice. The location of the house is close to downtown making it easy for sightseeing, shopping,... more

We were invited to the inn for a wedding party - this was at the Washington Street location, which I guess isn't the "main" house. The house was nice with a great living room/common area, and right next door to the pretty great Ann Arbor Y, which I definitely took advantage of. Sarah the owner made the large backyard a... more
