This B&B was clean and comfortable, but not fancy. The house is a somewhat modest bungalow, with very nicely remodeled baths and kitchen. Our bedroom was small and plain, but clean and comfortable. Sarah, the propietor, was the nicest thing about staying at this B&B. She was friendly and very helpful suggesting restaurants and shops nearby. She was very pleasant... more

Chloe from Cambridge, MA: The Burnt Toast Inn was great! We stayed in the Attic Room, which had an incredible and luxurious bathroom. Sarah was very friendly and laid back, and the house was just a few-minute walk to Main Street. Highly recommended. more

My friend and I (and our significant others) needed a place to stay for a friends wedding in Ann Arbor. We found the Burnt Toast Inn online, and had such a wonderful experience! We stayed in the Gold and Purple rooms, which were cozy and perfect for us. The Burnt Toast is so warm and inviting, we didn't want to... more

We were in Ann Arbor for a wedding and wanted to find a homey place near downtown. Burnt Toast Inn could not have been more perfect: walking distance to restaurants, cafes and Zingerman's; the Suite room was a treat with it's extra large shower, claw foot tub, and comfortable bed; and Bo is the sweetest and gentlest big dog ever!... more

The day I was leaving the Burnt Toast Inn a film crew came to do a story of Sarah's place. The following is a link to the article ... http://blog.mlive.com/annarbornews/2008/09/my_business_in_with_the_inn_crowd.html I must say, it was a real pleasure staying there. Bo, Sarah's dog wouldn't hurt a fly, he's such a sweetie, greeted me like I was his long lost best... more

I came to Ann Arbor for a very demanding music workshop but the time I spent at the Burnt Toast Inn made my week seem more like a vacation than a business trip. The Burnt Toast Inn breakfasts were wonderful and healthy, with fresh fruit, and gourmet cheeses, whole-grain breads, plain yogurt and boiled eggs. The atmosphere, with colorful oriental... more

Sarah Okuyama of the Burnt Toast Inn made our first visit to Ann Arbor memorable. Admittedly the exterior of the B&B was not prepossessing. Once inside, however, my wife and I knew that we had picked the right place. The warmth of the interior was made even more welcoming by Sarah's hospitality. While our room could be considered snug, Sarah's... more

I chose the Burnt Toast B & B after reading several reviews at Trip Advisor. Sarah the owner is such a gracious host - the airline lost my luggage and she loaned me a robe, slippers and provided me toothpaste and a toothbrush. As I had traveled there for a workshop at University of MI the next day, her warm... more

We had another great stay at the Burnt Toast. It is cozy and colorful and an easy walk to town. Sarah puts out an amazing breakfast spread- fresh fruits, hearty hot cereal, eggs and sausage, salads, cheeses and fresh crusty breads. Something for everyone and no one will go hungry! The rooms are charming and decorated in Sarah's own "unique... more
